We have came to agreement for meeting in the middle of payment
While we empathize with Mr***, the reality of the situation is that the extended warranty is refusing to pay the claim due to the fact that their instructions for a claim were not followed. Any repair shop in the country knows that you need to accept extended warranty policies and call in claims as part of their practice. If the contact was presented to the repair facility they would have handled the claim. Sunset has send a check for half of the repair costs to the customer as a good will gesture
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I was at the honda dealership for hours Monday evening, they don't give you radio and navigation codesI need a serial number that isn't in any of the honda pamphlets, etcThis isnt my first accord, and honda cannot freely give the codes without the serial number and vin, I have the vinHonda said they have to pull a piece out of my car to get the seial numberOnce again, another inconvenienceThis was promised to be over a month ago by your salesman when I signed for the carIn the future maybe you can provide these important codes at the time of purchase :)
Also, engine oil and transmission fluid were lowGood thing I dropped by honda
Sincerely,*** ***
At this time, Mr *** has been reimbursed $of his repairs. We feel that the matter has been closed. Sincerely,Jon N***Service Manager

I am rejecting this response because: I did mention aftermarket warranty before repairs were made. I also have a witness to this.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I feel that I had followed verbal instructions from the dealership and the warrantee...
company and that since the repairs were to be completely covered by the warrantee that they (the dealership) has not fulfilled their obligations under their advertising representation. although they have decided to send me half of my cost of the repairs, I told them that I still did not feel it was fair. Also they told me that their decision to send me a check for half of my repairs about two months ago and I still have not received said payment. I had been a customer of the dealership for about twenty years and this is the thanks I get for my loyalty to them. I still feel that in all fairness that I should still be repaid for the untire amount. Sincerely,[redacted]
The wheels that are on the 2010 [redacted] owned by Ms. [redacted] are the same wheels in the same condition as when she purchased the vehicle. Our policy when washing wheels is to use dove soap with water to clean them. The "soap" around the wheel was tire lube, a non...
corrosive substance, used to put new tires on the wheels. At this time we feel that there is not any damage to the wheels on our part and the wheels are in the same condition as when purchased.
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: the original issue that I had had actually gotten worse. I was driving the vehicle...
without the temp license plate which obviously cause me to get pulled over, I had a tire blow out because they didn't fix the tire they were supposed to, never washed or detailed my car because the previous owners trash is still in both glove compartments. I actually contacted the previous owner to get the navigation and radio codes that I'm still waiting from the dealer as well as the credit to Alaska credit union that they were supposed to apply due to all of the inconveniences. I did finally receive the inspection report and the temp license but I'm still waiting for the codes and the credit. I'm assuming my car will not be washed and detailed. My advice is next time at least throw away the previous owners trash. Oh, & I forgot to mention that they installed a scratched windshield so I have to go back, take more time off work to have that replaced. This process has been very inconvenient for me as I have taken many days off work and could have gotten a very large ticket due to not having the temp plate. Once the credit is applied and the codes are given this claim will be settledSincerely,[redacted]
After researching the information provided by Mr. [redacted], we have discovered that the vehicle has never been in our service department since purchase. We were unaware of any issues that Mr. [redacted] may have been experiencing as he did not bring the vehicle to Sunset Chevrolet in order for us to...
"stand behind the vehicle" as he states. We would need to see copies of the maintenance and repair bills that Mr. [redacted] claims he has paid, before any determination on the part of Sunset Chevrolet. We would like to work toward a one time good will gesture since Mr. [redacted] chose not to purchase an extended warranty that would have likely covered some of his concerns.
We have not heard about this complaint from the customer until we received this from the Revdex.com. We would be more than happy to help fix any problems as long as we are informed. The service manager is reaching out to the customer to see how we can help to make her driving her car more...
enjoyable and fix her vehicle.
At this time, we have resolved all of our issues with Ms. [redacted] and she has possession of her Honda.
Sincerely,
Tyler F[redacted]General Manager
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
the issue has not been resolved to my satisfaction. I received a check for $450 from the service manager's personal account not from the dealership. something doesn't sound right since the check was not drawn off of the dealership's account . is the service manager covering up something.Sincerely,[redacted]
After numerous attempts to contact the customer, the vehicle was brought into our shop today for an inspection. The vehicle needs and alignment and a new intermediate steering shaft. We have ordered parts and the customer has his vehicle as it is not a safety issue. The vehicle...
will be repaired at no cost to the customer.
At the time of purchase, we explained to the customer we would swap his navigation radio over to his new truck provided it would interface. Unfortunatley it won't interface as you cannot install a factory navigation system in the current truck. At this time we are unable to provide Mr...
[redacted] with the solution that he is requesting due to the vehicle he purchased.
Please bring your vehicle in to get the radio codes, or you can also take it to the honda dealership and it will take about 10-15 minutes to do that, providing someone is available.
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The statement "at the time of purchase we explained to the customer we would swap his navigational radio over to his new truck provided it would interface " is not a true statement. The whole deal breaker was the navigational radio and after 30+ years in the business why did they, if in doubt not walk over to there knowledgeable service department and ask? as you can see on the attachment I have a WE OWE that says ,SWAP EQUIPMENT. It does not say Swap equipment provided it will interface. I have bought over 5 rigs from Joe at Sunset over the last 15 years and brought in at least 10 other friends. Joe knows I'm in sales and how important the navigational system is for my job. If there was any doubt about it, they brought out several trucks for me to look at and if it was explained to me I would of bought a truck with nav already in it. Sincerely,[redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this response because:I have pictures of the [redacted] in the Sunset parking lot after the test drive that I sent to my salesperson Mr H[redacted]. You can still see the goo attached to the tires and rims after the lengthy test drive. I was very specific to my salesperson Mr H[redacted] that I wanted them cleaned. He assured me the entire vehicle would be detailed and would look as good as new when I picked it up in four days. The damage is becoming more apparent as the [redacted] is exposed to driving conditions. The clear coat is becoming more brittle in the affected areas, peeling and becoming packed with dirt and water which makes it apparent to me the damage was recent. The pattern of damage around the tire stems, in my opinion, is forced air from filling the new tires with the goo still on the rims. I stand firm on my claim of $1000.00 to replace the rims and as a personal gesture I'll return the old rims to Sunset. They can repair them and be out zero dollars. Sincerely,[redacted]
