Sunrise Interiors

I placed an order in early January 2020 with Sunrise Interiors for over $7000 dollars. They were to order and install window coverings for my new home. I paid the 50% required deposit for the blinds on approximately 1/10/2020, (the check has cleared), and was told the order would take 3-8 weeks at the most. I have called periodically to follow up with them. Around week 4, I was told there was no information on my order as of yet. Once week 8 arrived, I called and there was a recorded message that the office was closed due to jury duty and they would return all calls on March 2nd. I did not receive a call so I have been calling daily since then and the message now just states that the office is closed due to jury duty with no return date given. I emailed the company and an automated reply was sent stating the same thing; that the office was closed due to jury duty. I have left messages to please call me and now I have requested that my down payment please be refunded. I also emailed this same sentiment. I have read one review dated in late January 2020 that someone else had a similar experience but was able to get in contact with them somehow and did receive their deposit back. Also, now that I have searched on Revdex.com site, it appears they do not even have an active/valid contractor's license so I would imagine they are in violation of some sort of business cods. Sunrise Interiors was a very reputable business in our area for years until the original owner retired and apparently sold his business. I am unsure where to turn but fear they could have scammed myself and others out of a lot of money.
