Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator proceeded to go up the roof to investigate the roof leak location. Mr. Tony R[redacted]'s findings and observation of the existing conditions and cause of the roof leak over the side patio roof noted and confirmed that the roof leak was being caused by the existing #90lb. mineral cap sheet over the low slope roof area, where as the entire east roof edge had been lifted, by high windy conditions which had previously occurred in the past weeks. It was observed and noted that no work was previously done by our crew in this section of the roof. During the site visit on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 by Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator getting off the roof, went back to speak with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] regarding the roof conditions and to discuss the cause of the leak. Mr. Tony R[redacted] specified to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] that the cause of the leak was not coming from area that was repaired previously, but was coming in from the existing #90lb. mineral cap sheet roof membrane that had been damaged by high winds, which is now causing the top of the roof over the edge to lift during winding conditions, and if it is raining, moisture is entering thru the lifted section of the roof. At this time, Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator took pictures of the loose #90lb. mineral cap sheet on the east roof edge and showed them to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]. After looking at the pictures of the existing conditions, and cause of the leak, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] asked Mr. Tony R[redacted] "how much is this going to cost to repair and fix ?" Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator told Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] that he will discuss the circumstances with Mr. S[redacted], and he would be getting back to them with an cost estimate. It was mentioned and said by Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] that is was very important the we get back to them soon, since they did not want to experience any more leakage in the that area, it was then when Mr. Tony R[redacted] told Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] that he would get back to them by the end of the day with an cost estimate for the roof repair work. After leaving the home of Mr. and Mrs. [redacted], Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator returned to the office where he proceeded with calculating the roof estimate. After reviewing the scope of work, and discussing the existing conditions as specified on the "Summary" section of our proposal/contract with Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator, we calculated the aforementioned cost of $675.00 to expedite and complete the scope of work specified. Mrs. [redacted] said she would discuss our conversation and price with her husband Mr. [redacted], Mr. Tony R[redacted]-Estimator said "Okay, that would be fine, let us know what you decide". On Wednesday, August 2, 2017 we arrived to the home of Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] around 8:30 am, we were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. [redacted], prior to engaging in any work, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] wanted us to show them exactly what was going to be done, we set up our ladder so we could show them where and what we were exactly going to do, Mr. [redacted] got up on the roof with us, I and Mr. Tony R[redacted] showed Mr. [redacted] the affected area, and explained to him exactly what had to be do to fix the roof edge part of the roof, we also mentioned to him that we would have install a metal flashing onto the adjacent low slope roof section, as we had previously done on the upper section of the patio roof, as this would water proof the entire adjoining metal roof to the dwelling. After explaining to Mr. [redacted] of what was going to be done, we got off the roof, and went to talk to Mrs. [redacted], and explained to her what was going to be done, at this time Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] gave us authorization to proceed with the work, as so we proceeded to do the work.
