desk about the additional guest, guest vehicle and ask for another parking permit. Is it possibly due to the fac that they had at least 8 people in a room designed for 4? I happened to be working the front desk when the guest for #[redacted], checked in. At the time of check-in, he was asked how many guests in the room and he said no more than 4. I asked because we were handing out pool bands to make sure only registered guests were allowed in the pool area. I also asked how many parking permits he needed as he was allowed to have 1 vehicle parked in front of the building and any other vehicles would have to either park in our back area or in Treasure bay’s lot as we have limited parking. He said he only needed 1 permit and I again reiterated that any vehicles that did not have a visible green parking permit displayed on the dash would be subject to towing. He assured me that he only needed 1 permit. Later Friday night Mr. [redacted] called to ask for a fan as it was hot in his room. At that time the front desk manager on duty took a fan up to the room where he observed many more than 4 people in the room, the door to the room was open and everyone was sitting around drinking and smoking (in a non-smoking room). They were smoking pot and were advised that they could not smoke anything in a non-smoking room. On Saturday the same guest in [redacted] then asked for extra blankets. Upon seeing several guests sitting around inside and outside of room #[redacted], they were reminded that ALL vehicles without parking permits were subject to being towed as the tow truck drivers are on the prowl during these special events and Saturday nights are always a nightmare.   On 06/27/2016 [redacted] called because her son, [redacted], was in room #[redacted] over the weekend and she wanted to complain about the deplorable conditions of the room: she said the A/C was not blowing very cold on Friday night, the room smelled and the floor was dirty and they didn’t receive housekeeping service on Saturday. She also said her son was upset that he was told he was in danger of being towed if he did not keep parking pass in vehicle & if any of his guests’ did not park correctly & have a green parking permit. I then proceeded to read the inspection list from the housekeepers over the weekend:   06/25/2016: When they went to [redacted] at 11:30, there was a “No Service” tag in the key slot on the door, then before they left in the afternoon, checked again with guest and was told they only needed some towels and blankets and everything else was good. 06/26/2016: After guest left, we had to take this room out of our inventory for over a week in order to clean up the human filth left in the bathroom and just about everywhere in the room, the guests didn’t even bother to dispose of the cigarettes and the odor of marijuana was overwhelmingly strong. All of the bedding had to either be destroyed as it could not be cleaned sufficiently or had to be cleaned numerous times before the room was considered rentable.   At that point Mrs. [redacted] made the comment that everybody knows there were more than 4 in the room, that they squeeze as many people in the rooms as they can, they’re just kids. As she was demanding a full refund.   Then I was informed that [redacted] called to complain that her car was towed some time Saturday night/Sunday morning. When I asked what room she was in and I was told [redacted] but she wasn’t registered as Mr. [redacted] didn’t know she was coming. I know we were giving out parking permits as late as midnight on Saturday night to anyone that asked for one. We were constantly reminding the guests that they needed to be sure they had a green parking permit for all vehicles in their party. Miss [redacted] even stated in her complaint that she wasn’t supposed to be there and that they were aware of the need for a parking permit so I don’t know why she thinks we should pay her fine when we did everything we could to prevent the cars from being towed. Since we could tell after they left that were at least 8 people in a room with 2 double beds with a maximum occupancy of 4.   [redacted] Director of Operations Edgewater Inn, Inc. 1936 Beach Blvd Biloxi, MS   39531   (228) [redacted] (800) [redacted] (Cell)
