September 10th, Dispute Resolution Department Revdex.com NBroadway, Suite StLouis, MO Re: *** *** Complaint Relative to the attached complaint from Mr*** D ***, wish to state the
followingOn August 11th, 2017, I received a telephone call from the customer indicating that he had earlier talked to my son, *** ***, who is the salesman for our company “Suncrest Home Remodeling.” Mr*** indicated that he hadn’t heard back from him and that if no action was taken, he would call the Revdex.com, and make a complaintI told him I would handle the incident personally*** also told me he had pictures of the deck that illustrate the problemBasically, he told me that the bottom steps had warped and that the side rail was loose. I told him to forward them to me and that we would get back with him after looking at the deckHe later sent me the pictures which illustrate the last two steps being warpedI immediately contacted my son *** *** who stated that he had received a telephone call and pictures from Mr***He immediately contacted our deck sub-contractor (*** *** ** *** ***) who stated that he couldn’t get to it for three to four weeks as his company was backed up with new work*** *** then called Mr*** to tell him that it would be three to four weeks before we could get over to fix the deckMr*** informed him that he couldn’t wait that long as he was in the process of renting the rear apartment out and that he needed an inspection of the building by the StLouis City inspector for an occupancy permitHe further stated that with the two warped steps the permit would not be givenArmed with this information, *** *** along with *** *** decided to go by the residence on August 18th, and personally inspect the deckIt should be noted that that the deck was built in March of The building has a business on the first floor with residential apartments on the second floor rearThe deck in question allows the tenants on the second floor access to their apartments from the rear of the buildingIt should be noted that after completion of the wood deck in March 2016, it was inspected and approved by the StLouis Building DivisionFurther noted that *** and *** *** informed me while they were inspecting the deck, an unknown black female described in her mid thirties came out of the second floor west apartment and inquired of them what they were doing*** and *** *** advised her that they were here to inspect the deckThe unknown tenant then told them, that the previous tenant in the east apartment was a crack head who used to come out on the deck in her drug fits screaming and would jump up and down on the deck shaking the hand railsThe unknown tenant stated that this was the reason why the hand rail was now looseShe concluded stating that she personally observed this tenant do this several times to the deckThis unknown tenant stated that the tenant later moved out of the apartment*** *** informed her that the bottom steps would be fixed at a later time by our sub contractor*** *** stated that he later contacted Mr*** and informed him what the unknown tenant had informed him of* also informed the customer that the lower steps would be fixedFurther noted that on September 6th, the subject contractor went by the building and replaced the lower two steps which had warped and secured the hand railingThe only thing that hasn’t been addressed in this complaint is the stringer that is now crackedMr*** was contacted and apprised that the crack in the wood would be looked at by the wood supplier to see if it was a defective piece of wood or caused by the tenant jumping on the stairs as indicated by the current tenant in apartment west*** *** has been in contact with Mr*** numerous times during this process, and we believe that the reason for this complaint was because we couldn’t get the subcontractor to finish the repairs prior to his building occupancy inspectionIn closing, Suncrest Home Remodeling, will have the wood supplier company (*** *** ***) inspect the stringer to see if it was bad wood or possibly caused by the tenant jumping and shaking the hand railsThis is the only part of his complaint that hasn’t been addressed at this timeAlso, Mr*** needs to interview his current tenant in the second floor west apartment to verify what was stated to *** and *** ***Inclosing Mr*** has exaggerated calling Suncrest Home RemodelingHe only called me one time and not four times as he indicates in his statementAlso *** has been in contact with him numerous times over the course of these repairsWe had to wait for the subcontractor’s date to repair the deck which was approximately one month after receiving the original call from Mr***We look forward to addressing the stringer if in fact it was defective wood by the supplier and not caused by the tenant Yours Truly, *** *** President Suncrest Home Remodeling, Inc
Contractor threatened me with lien against house if I did not pay him soon
I’m submitting this as I would like this case be re-opened for review. I feel their rating should be re-evaluated.My main concerns are all the false allegations being made against me and again basically calling me a liar and saying a lot of what has occurred never took place. I am also...
very upset that they submitted a contract to you that is not the one we signed and that my name is forged on it. I cannot believe that they have taken this to this extreme. As mentioned I don’t care about the 400.00 or them filing a lien on my property even though I have a signed lien waiver.Enclosed is paperwork supporting documentation that what Suncrest is alleging in their response to you is inaccurate and that what I have stated will support my statements. I have made notes on such. Enclosed are testimonies from 3 people that have witnessed conversations.I realize this is a lot to take in and may be hard to follow, I’ve tried to simplify as best I could. I would be more than happy to come in and talk with whomever in order for you to have a better understanding if need be.They are presently still advertising an AAA rating with the Revdex.com even though it went down to an A-.Added to this, after project was completed I now find that the way the roof was constructed I’m having problems with the rain/drainage. Apparently the way the gutter, rain guards, and fascia covering is constructed it is not sufficient. They have been out 2x since and each time it not only looks worse but also the problem gets worse. I have estimates to either fix the problem @800.00 or to re-do completely as it should be @ 1500.00. I can submit estimates if you’d like. In addition I now find the color of the material on the roof is in two different colors and the lattice is coming apart from what few brackets they attached them to. They are aware of the water problem, however I do not want them trying to fix for a 3rd time. Due to all the issues I have had with Suncrest I prefer not to communicate with them any longer.Above are 2 links to the gutter/rain issues. Thanks for your attention to this matter and feel free to contact me anytime.
