A complaint was issued by another customer about someone using their cell phone during the movieAs we always do in these particular cases, ask the person in question in a polite way to please not use their phones as it is disruptive and rude to other customersMost people go out
into the Lobby when such issues occur, then return to the auditorium A polite, well trained employee simply told this person that they would have to stop texting or would have to leaveThe person on their own elected to leave rather than stop texting As stated in their statement the rest of the family stayed to watch the movie.I was informed of this particular situation minutes prior to this customer calling and talking to me about itI was told that no other theater ever told them not to use their phoneI was also told that they didn't see anything wrong with it.I politely explained that all theaters have a no phone use policyThe only reason they were able to use it at other venues was because the theater was not aware, and or no one complained about itYou can't fix what you don't knowAllpreshow ads at all theaters remind customers to turn off cell phonesAlso a sign hangs above each door asking customers to please turn off cell phones.In conclusion even though I knew our position was the correct one I told this person that I hated it and even offered a free movie pass and a free combo for another movie if they wantedThis was a dollar value for the dollaradmission ticket, not I was informed that they would rather pay dollars more to go somewhere else and that they would not be back and that they were going to the Revdex.comThe other two family members stayed for the entire time.I did everything within reason to satisfy this customer except tell them they could text during the movie which is not allowed.Sincerely,*** ***
