Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/02/08) */
This lady called me regarding her car no startShe brought me a fuel pump assembly and told me to replace it for herCheck the car fuel pressure zeroWhile installing the fuel pump I saw fuel pressure sensor broken and was glued beforeWe
called the customer before replacing the part and she agreedWhen checking the fuel gauge it look working (cluster is digital)After two days she told me my fuel gauge is not working and she told me that I change the fuel pressure sensor and that the gauge supposed to workI explain for her that the sensor is for evap and not for gaugeI check me and her the cluster reading and there is a cobeside the gauge readingI told her to take it to the dealer to check it because her cluster is digital it may need programming or needs to be checked
She agreed and on that and leftBeside that she brought the car towingHer question when brought the car was can you replace the fuel pump for meOn the sensor I was trying to help her out because to replace it you have to drop the fuel tank againThat is the story

Sun Automotive Repair 2/22/
I AM A YEAR OLD DISABLED SENIOR CITIZEN ON A CANE WITH A PhD DEGREEI PROBABLY HAVE BEEN DRIVING LONGER THAN HE IS OLDI knew exactly what was wrong with my car when I had it towed by AAA to *** with the fuel pump assembly in the front seatI was at homeMy friend *** had recommended Sun Automotive Repair and had talked to *** because she had used them beforeBefore we drove off I showed *** that the Full to Empty was not showing how much gas was in the carIt was showing CinsteadHe said it would adjustI trusted himWe drove around for a while and it did not change*** had to go homeWhen I got home I checked the original manual that I still haveIt stated that was not normalCalled back and *** and I went back to the Sun Automotive Repair the very next day and showed him Full to Empty & Distant to Empty neither were showing how much gas was in the carAnd also I showed him that section in the original manualI requested that whatever it would take fix it so that it would be safe!!! I KNOW THAT IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITHOUT KNOWING HOW MUCH GAS YOU HAVEHe told me to go to the dealer that the entire cluster was brokenI took it to the dealershipAnd the dealer told me to take it back to Sun Automotive Repair for them to fix itThe cluster continues to work satisfactory except that the gas is not being sensed
Desired Resolution is still the same: Finish the RepairMake sure the sensor is sensing the fuel and that the DTE Distance to Empty and Fuel Gage Full to Empty work properly
