I went in and bought a Jeep Wrangler 1998 paid out $5,500 with a balance of $2,000 to come. When I got the machine home after a couple of days of working on it and looking it over I found that it had a laundry list of problems and before the due date on the 2000 that I was supposed to pay I decided that it was too much work and too much money I would have to put into it this was only two weeks into owning the vehicle and I send them a fax stating all the issues in that I would like to return the vehicle and get my down payment back. The gentleman contacted me one day while I was in the middle of an interview and told me I needed to call him back by 6 I did not make it out of the interview in time. I had not heard back from them at that point and was getting ready to call them because it had been another week or two now and I had only on this vehicle for a month. Knowing that I wanted to return the vehicle and knowing the condition that the vehicle was in he sent people to repossess the vehicle leaving me with no vehicle and telling me that I had 10 days to pay the $2,000 or I would lose my $5,000 $5,500 excuse me sorry. I asked him if he had a mechanic look at the Wrangler before it was sold to me and he said yes and if he did the fact that he didn't know about all the issues was ridiculous one of the worst issues was that they didn't feel like replacing the shock absorbers so they just cut them I drove home an hour almost an hour and a half uncut shock absorbers I could have been killed driving on something like that. I won't go into the rest of the list but there were 12 different things from the shock absorbers to the axle in the rear being bent and this should have warranted him taking it back returning my money or at least working out the fact that I wasn't going to pay $2,000 for that vehicle because of the damage that was already done to the thing and how much money it will cost me to fix it

Billing Adjustment I either wanted to return the vehicle and have my down payment returned to me or the $2,000 that is so old needs to be taking off I'm in the vehicle price.

On December 30th the buyer purchased a 1998 Jeep Wrangler, test drove the vehicle, then decided he wanted to purchase the 1998 Jeep Wrangler shortly after and the total cost of the vehicle purchased after taxes and fees came to $7,558.28 At this point in time the buyer only had $5,400. He then signed a financial contract with finance company for $2,128.58 with the total amount being due on January 17th,2020.
Also the buyer at the time of delivery, signed a re-possession agreement stating if $2,128.58 was not paid in full on January 17th, 2020 that WE(Sumter Cars And Trucks) were authorized to repossess the 1998 Jeep Wrangler. On January 16th, 2020, Sumter Cars And Trucks received a letter from the buyer stating in the letter that there were multiple things wrong with the Jeep and that he had stated he repaired these said problems. The buyer staeding in the letter that he wasn't going to pay the balance of $2,128.58, and wanted all of the original money he gave Sumter Cars And Trucks for the vehicle back or "call it even".
Not once, from the delivery date of December 30th, 2019 did the buyer contact Sumter Cars and trucks notifying anyone of any kind of repairs or problems with the jeep. Ironically, the buyer didn't notify anyone of any problem with the Jeep, up until the day before the balance of $2,128.58 was actually due to be paid in full. Sumter Cars and Trucks contacted the buyer on January 20th, 2020 pertaining to non-payment on the 1998 Jeep Wrangler that he purchased. The buyer then stated on the phone after WE contacted him that he could not talk to us until later around 6 P.M., only because he was busy working.
We gave the buyer and additional 13 days, to come up with the balance of the vehicle($2,128.58), but still had not received any contact with the buyer. On January 30th,2020 our recovery agent repossessed said 1998 Jeep Wrangler from the buyer's property as agreed on the "Repossession Contract" that was signed on the day of purchase. The buyer, Finally contacted Sumter Cars and Trucks after the vehicle had already been repossessed, pertaining to work out a deal on the balance due.
I Kent Martin, Manager of the dealership, told the buyer that there was nothing I was going to do, simply because of the lack of communication by him(the buyer). When a customer signs a retail finance contract with a lender, they should follow the term of contract with lender.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Because the only reason I waited to let him know the issues with the vehicle was because I was still going through it at the time finding everything that was wrong with it he's acting like it was a long. Of time and it wasn't it was only two weeks until the final payment was supposed to be made that is not a very long amount of time and I did contact him he was unresponsive Jimmy told me that he would not work with me even though I asked him to just work with me on a payment plan that I had already had to put so much money into the vehicle itself that I didn't have the $2,000 but he obviously wanted to steal my $5,000 because anybody in any other situation would have just worked with me just because I'm extremely busy and didn't have time to speak with him that day he got upset and hurt doesn't mean he needs to steal my $5,000 I was trying to work with him and he was extremely unresponsive that's why I haven't spoken with him since gentleman told me there's no way he was going to work with me that I need to either bring my $2,000 or he was selling it within 10 days and that's the last I spoke with him like I said I tried to work a deal out with him but he was extremely unresponsive and rude so obviously he just wanted my money and since he knew he had a contract dispute and I didn't really understand that he was that upset and that he wouldn't work with me I didn't understand that he was that upset about what was going on but I didn't know he thought I was ignoring him but I wasn't I'm just an extremely busy persoll
