Review: Upon moving out of one if their rentals, we conducted a walk-through with their office manager. At that time the manager said everything looked good except for some minimum additional cleaning. Two weeks later, we called to ask when we would receive our deposit money and return of last months rent that we had accidentally paid twice. The manager said that there was now 868.82 worth of damaged and we would be receive 481 of our 1350 back. When questioned, the damages included re-painting the house for 321.52 "because we had not lived there over a year". There was no damage done by my family to the paint but they charged us to re-paint, which was not part of her rental contract we signed in the beginning. Plus, we are active duty military and we're moving because we had been transferred to another post per orders given. Also, we paid to have e carpets cleaned because the moving check out list stated in two different places that we were responsible to have them cleaned. We are being charged $104 for carpet cleaning, when I explained that we had had them cleaned and had given them a receipt they stated that "we decided they weren't good enough". They then stated that their carpet cleaners found a rip in the carpet after cleaning. Not only did we not rip any carpet but we were not there at the time of the rip, if we were vacated and their cleaners found a rip after re-cleaning carpets how is it not possible that that was done by them? Also, mentioned at walk-through, by the office manager was that the carpets and vinyl were ten years old and would need to be replaced. I mentioned that we didn't damage them and she agreed and said it was just time to get them changed, but not I am being cheated for "ripped carpets" two weeks after moving out, which I believe is just them charging me to re-place old paint and carpets because there old not because I caused any actual damage. I am a EOD active military service member who is returning from my second deployment, I believe this company to be unethical.Desired Settlement: I would like my painting, carpet cleaning, and carpet replacement fees charged to me refunded totaling $600.82.
