12/5/2017To the Revdex.com,The following is in response to the complaint ID *** dated Friday December 1,2017.The work completed for the customer by Summit exteriors did in fact have some workmanship issues.Summit Exteriors did make every attempt to correct any reasonable concerns the home owner had
over work that was completedAs per his complaint the complete roof surface does have synthetic underlayment which we would be more than willing to remove metal roof panels to expose materialThe partner on site did make framing repairs to the porch roof section of the house but at no time was there any representation to work on framing over the main living areaThe existing structure was built sometime in the 40s and had issues based on the life of the structureOnce there was an issue we had a licensed Architect review what work was performed and what was necessary to rectify the issueWe also had the representatives from the supply house and metal roof supplier to the site to ease any warranty concerns. There is a long chain of email correspondence in which we offered to re-frame the area as per the Architect recommendations and a couple of minor comments from the metal roof supplierWe offered to have another contractor do the framing workThese options were not acceptable to *** ***.We then did offer him a cash amount back (against our Attorneys' advice) which he also declinedAt no point did we ignore his concerns*** *** as well as his construction adviser where on site thru out the project and at no point asked work to stop due to concerns in fact *** *** insisted paying the remaining balance before the metal roof was even installed stating "this is how I roll".*** *** has not given us the opportunity make any corrections prior to his complaintWe are still willing to do what repairs are necessary to the section of roof we had framing issues with but cannot be held responsible for framing issues which developed over the life time of the house. If I can be of any further assistance please feel free to contact meWe would like to have this issue resolved sooner than later.Thank You, Robert C
