Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]
The business is willing to resolve this issue with me. I would like to close the complaint.
We’ve checked with the same company as well and Mr. [redacted] assertion is inaccurate and misleading.
For $349.00 this company offers a furnace cleaning (including: Blower, Heater, and Furnace cage) and the cleaning of 8 heating vent + 1 cold air return (Intake) using Negative Pressure method...
only.
They charge $20.00 for any additional heating vent and $35.00 for any additional cold air return.
Mr. [redacted] has 9 heating vents and 2 cold air returns.
If Mr. [redacted] would have invited this company to perform the duct cleaning job in his home using Negative Pressure method, the job would have cost him $404.00. It is important to point out that this price does not include the Dryer Vent cleaning and the price of a filter.
If Mr. [redacted] would have asked our tech to perform the cleaning per the voucher he purchased it would have cost him $49.00 (the price of the voucher) to clean an unlimited number of vents + 1 cold air return + dryer vent using Negative Pressure method. For cleaning his furnace (Blower, Heater, and Furnace cage) he paid us $309.00 + $55.00 for the additional cold air return. The total cost to him would have been $413.00.
However, in addition to the negative pressure method we’ve used to clean his air duct system we also used brushing method of cleaning which is more expensive. We’ve also cleaned and brushed the 2 connection boxes to and from his furnace and we have sanitized his entire duct system.
Mr. [redacted] clearly understood the difference between the 2 methods of cleaning and agreed to pay us $1,100.00 for the service. He inserted his initials next to that price on the invoice. He also signed the invoice acknowledging the terms. He also signed the statement of job complete that he found the job performed to be complete and to his satisfaction.
Regarding the filter that Mr. [redacted] was not charged for, the filter was ordered and was delivered directly to his home. This filter is washable and reusable and carries a life time warranty.
