Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Now I'm getting strong armed into keeping a vehicle that doesn't run and that will turn me upside downThe dealer told me I couldn't leave the lot without that warranty which now signals to me that they knew what the warranty covered and they knew that everything was going wrong with the truckWell hours later I took it in and talked to the bank and found that the warranty was only optional I should have been able to leave with out the warranty but summers would not allow me to leave without itAnd then shortly after it went into the shop again with more going onWell after it was looked at I was told that there's $in repairs and when inspected it should have been covered by the warranty but it wasn't instead I was told it was maintenance issues which I don't see how that is my fault when I had bought the vehicle only a few days agoThe amount for repairs is more then half of what I bought the truck for where's the justice in the thatI was practically sold a lemon Regards, [redacted]
[redacted] , our intention is not to "strong arm you into" a problematic vehicleLet me remind you that you took several weeks to select the vehicle you purchasedThis was the vehicle you choseThe service contract is an optional add-on, but opting to purchase a service contract will often qualify you for a lower down payment, and more favorable financing termsIn your case, I was unable to sell the vehicle without either the service contract, or a larger down paymentWe chose to include the service contract so that you could get the finance terms you needed to fit your budgetI apologize that we didn't explain that in such a way that you clearly understood your options.We were unfortunately ignorant of the true mechanical condition of the vehicleI don't believe we were at all deceptive about the condition of the vehicleWe make it our goal to make sure every customer has ample opportunity to get a thorough independent mechanic's inspectionWe also try to help people to understand the implications of an "as-is" saleWe do not offer a dealer warranty on any vehicle we sellInstead, we offer the third party service contract, so that our customers have some basic mechanical coverageWe chose to go above and beyond what is required when we paid for the radiator, in an attempt to help you to have a vehicle that met your expectationsAs far as the specific mechanical problems, and the coverage provided by the service contract, I can only repeat what I've said beforeWe recommended a mechanic to help with the cost of repairs, and to help with filing a claimYou chose to ignore our recommendation, and take the vehicle to a different mechanic, who was unable to repair the vehicle for the amount approved by the service contract companyI believe that if you had followed our recommendation for a mechanic, we would have been able to help you to get the important repairs covered with the service contract, but now it's too late to knowAs far as I can tell, the quote for the repairs was very high, and the claim with the service contract was poorly handledIn conclusion, I am sincerely sorry that the vehicle did not fit your needsI wish there was a way to work this situation out that was satisfactory for everyone involvedFeel free to contact us if you have more questions
[redacted] To Whom It May Concern,In regards to ID # [redacted] .Prior to selling this vehicleSummers Auto Sales, Inc ran a title check through a company called *** [redacted] to ensure title was compliant and able to be financed through a bankWe also paid to have the frame inspected by a third party prior to sellPlease see attachmentVehicle also passed emissions inspection conducted at the County emissions facilityCustomer inspected vehicle prior to purchase and had no concerns about frame rust or condition.Customer financed vehicle through his own credit union and title was perfected by the credit union prior to financing.Customer also filed a complaint with Colorado Deptof Revenue, Motor Vehicle DivisionState Inspector came to our location and reviewed sales file documentation of vehicle as part of the State investigation of customer complaint.After completion of State's investigation Summers Auto Sales, Inc was notified by the State Investigator that the case has been closed and Summers Auto was found compliant and cleared of any wrong doing in regards to customers complaint.Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.Thank you, Tracy S [redacted] Office/Service Manager [redacted] *** [redacted] [redacted]
Buyer Beware!!! Bought a Mini from Summers auto in Loveland Colorado Had it two days and the clutch went to the tune of$Called the dealership they refused to help in any wayCar only had miles on it was very disappointed in the dealership [redacted] ***

It is the duty of business selling vehicle that it is safe to drive off lot. It has been deemed by two mechanics including [redacted] that it is not safe to drive. There have been countless reviews from other consumers on multiple platforms that state vehicles sold by Summers Auto are unsafe and unrealiable. They consistently sell vehicles that are not fit to drive. [redacted] Dealership informed us, had they sold a vehicle in this condition, they would have bought it back.
