Good Afternoon,After sending our response to Revdex.com about our guest, [redacted] , being satisfied with a credit on file to be used at a later stage, she called us back the following day [redacted] decided she was in fact not happy with the credit on file and that she really just wanted her money backAfter reviewing the details of the case, we went ahead and issued her a full refundI called [redacted] back and let her know of our decision and she was very happy about itPlease let me know if there is anything else you need from me to finalize this issue.Thanks***
This guest was fully aware of our hotel's very clear policies regarding deposits, payments, and cancellations which she approved when she made her reservation (listed here: https://www.summercamphotel.com/policies/)Our policies are in line with all other hotels and inns who have to keep people
accountable for making last minute cancellations which affect our business drastically since we are unable to resell the room they bookedThe guest was a no-show for her reservation 9/22-24/She called the hotel the day before claiming the "ferry might not be running" preventing her from reaching the island, but the ferry was running just fine and we explained our policy to her again. She was offered a "change of dates" option for a fee, but she refused the offerSince receiving this complaint, which was unexpected, as we know that half of their money was in fact reimbursed from their credit card company, we offered the guest in question a credit for the remaining amount in question which she can use at a later date at our hotelShe sounded very satisfied with the new offer and accepted it
