Mr [redacted] purchased laminate flooring (material only) from Summer’s Abbey Flooring Center He did NOT purchase labor from our company After receiving the flooring, Mr [redacted] had someone install the flooring for him, he then noticed the flooring was defective He contacted our company and we assured him that we would return the defective flooring and replace it, which we did Mr [redacted] wanted us to pay for the labor as well We told him that we would work with him and the manufacturer concerning the labor to see if they would pay for it The manufacturer denied the reimbursement for labor because it should have been inspected BEFORE installation On the instructions that came with the flooring it states to read all instructions carefully before you begin installation It states, “IMPORTANT PLEASE INSPECT PANELS FOR DEFECTS.” The defects could be seen after opening the boxes Mr***’s installer continued to put the floor down even though it was defective Again, we only sold him the material , he did not pay us for the labor This situation would have never progressed if Mr***’s installer would have followed installation instructions, which are provided in each carton of laminate flooring (I have also attached a copy of the insert that is included with each box of laminate.) Mr*** purchased laminate flooring (material only) from Summer’s Abbey Flooring Center. He did NOT purchase labor from our company. After receiving the flooring, Mr*** had someone install the flooring for him, he then noticed the flooring was defective. He contacted our
company and we assured him that we would return the defective flooring and replace it, which we did. Mr*** wanted us to pay for the labor as well. We told him that we would work with him and the manufacturer concerning the labor to see if they would pay for it. The manufacturer denied the reimbursement for labor because it should have been inspected BEFORE installation
On the instructions that came with the flooring it states to read all instructions carefully before you begin installation. It states, “IMPORTANT…PLEASE INSPECT PANELS FOR DEFECTS.” The defects could be seen after opening the boxes. Mr***’s installer continued to put the floor down even though it was defective. Again, we only sold him the material , he did not pay us for the labor
This situation would have never progressed if Mr***’s installer would have followed installation instructions, which are provided in each carton of laminate flooring
