We are aware that Mr. [redacted] does not prefer the repair method proposed by the tile contractor, [redacted], and therefore, we have retained an independent third party consultant to further review and advise as to the proper repair or replacement method and/or opine as to options associated therewith. We at Homes by Towne are focused on, and take care, to build a quality home and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Affirmation of the cause of the tile issue and the appropriate repair involves many different parties and is a complex process which requires adequate time to address. We are aware this process is taking more time than normal, however, we are assertively focused on a satisfactory resolution of this issue for all parties concerned including Mr. [redacted]. We will continue to communicate with our homeowner during this process.
Homes by Towne has indicated they hope to have a response to my complaint and several other owners by the end of this month. Hopefully their response is reasonable.
We received a notice regarding the tile issue at the [redacted]'s home and had it inspected by the flooring subcontractor who offered to repair the popping tiles using a co-polymer adhesive. The subcontractor provided information that this product has been tested by the Tile Council of North...
America Product Performance Testing Lab for super bond strength. This product was used in our model home with success. The subcontractor has also agreed to extend the warranty for an additional year. The [redacted]'s have rejected this repair method which is clearly less disruptive or invasive. We will continue to work with the homeowners to resolve this issue.
