Review: I bought a suit from them approximately 3-4 months ago. After wearing the suit about 10 times and getting it dry cleaned maybe 5 or 6 times, the pants tore. I wrote the company and expressed my dissatisfaction with the quality of their materials. A suit should not wear and tear that quickly. This tear was away from the seam and I have maintained my weight so body size is a non issue. The response I got back from the company was, "The suit was not defective; nor was this a quality issue. Unfortunately, due to circumstance out of our control, we cannot offer you any form of compensation or accommodation." I find this to be unacceptable. I have seen similar complaints from others. The quality of the suit is at issue and they need to take responsibility for providing me with a defective item. Claiming that dry-cleaning will destroy the suit is not correct since it is the only way to properly clean the suit, according to their care instructions.Desired Settlement: I would like for Suit Supply to refund my account. It is not acceptable for a company to provide low-quality items at prices that should reflect higher quality.
Review: The below email was sent to Suit Supply's customer serve email address on October **. Two days later, I received a response that someone would be in touch with me. I have received no response to date, despite my several attempts to follow-up with them. Each of the three custom suits that I purchased cost $1,000, for a total of $3,000. Their lack of response is unacceptable.
-------
I picked up my first made to measure suit from Suitsupply this summer. After a few re-fittings, I was pleased with the suit and the fit. A couple of months later, I ordered two additional made to measure suits with the same measurements. However, approximately 1-2 weeks after the second order, I realized that the back of the collar on the original suit was not high enough, which causes way too much shirt collar to be seen (more than 1.5",). I only had a chance to wear the first suit a few times before ordering the two additional suits, and given the location of the problem, it's not something I would have seen very easily. When I went back to the store to tell them about the problem I discovered, I was told that it was too late to make any changes to the second order (completely understandable). I picked up the two new suits this past week, and they of course have the same issue as the first suit.
Part of the reason I pay a premium for a made to measure suit is to have guidance on things like this (and to have someone who can see things in locations that I can't see when I'm wearing the suit). Richard clearly knows what he's doing when it comes to fitting suits, and I very much enjoy working with him. However, I'm very unhappy with the way these suits fit me at the neck (there is simply way too much shirt collar that shows above the suit collar), and I feel even worse about the amount of money I've spent. I find myself shrugging my shoulders throughout the day to "push" the suit collar up a little higher, which temporarily solves the problem, though this is obviously not ideal. Other than this issue, I love the suits and planned to buy several more. I'm told that there are no alterations to fix this issue, but that for future orders, it could be easily fixed.
I would be very grateful if these suits could be re-made, or if we could resolve this issue in another way you think is appropriate.Desired Settlement: I would be more than willing to accept replacement suits, a store gift card, or a billing adjustment.
