Review: My complaint with the La Crosse branch of Suburban propane begins 2 years ago when we moved to the area and was told they were our propane supplier by the previous owners of our home. We set up an initial safety inspection with at that time what was Trugas (prior to takeover by suburban propane). The gentleman that came the first week of July 2013 for this left the heat on in the home and the temperature rose steeply. This was not discovered for several hours. We then were met with quite steep prices during the fall/winter of 2013 and 2014 because no one bothered to introduce or mention to us getting locked in at a price for the whole year. We were met with bills of $1400/$1600 because no informed us there was another option. We had never used propane with previous homes. Additionally that winter, although we were on autofill, we were allowed to run out. When my husband called due to cold temperatures in the home we were told we were scheduled to fill the week prior but because they were running low they thought they could skip us. We looked to other options for propane usage last summer but were told in order to have another company service our tank we'd have to buy the underground tank (not placed by us) for $1500 (full price) when it was 9 years old. We were able to get locked in at a price last year because I inquired. No literature was ever presented to us. This year literature was sent to us and I have tried multiple times to contact the local office and I have yet to speak to an actual person in the La Crosse office. No one has bothered to return to my call despite my expressed distain and dissatisfaction with the corporate office. I'm always told someone will call me back in 24 hours and that has yet to happen. I was fortunately able to get a hold of someone at another office who emailed me a contract for the year. The La Crosse office is incompetent to say the least. They lack customer service and dependable service.Desired Settlement: Calls returned. Gas delivered on time.

Review: I had suburban propane empty my full 500 pound propane tank and remove the tank back around the 4th of July. I was not at my property when they emptied the tank, so I don't have an exact date. After around a dozen calls, I have not recieved any money for the fuel.I sent a copy of my original ticket of delivery to a gentleman named ** as he asked for. I have now called 2 days in a row and left messages both times and no call back.Desired Settlement: For the amount of propane that was removed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I have received a check from suburban propane for 679.60 on Nov. 12. I cashed it on 11-13-2014. It has not bounced yet. I dont think it will as it came from the corporate office in New Jersey. I am satisfied with the amount of the check.
