Review: I had tried several times to cancel my Subaru extended warranty that I had purchased through this dealership with my new vehicle. It was prior to the 90 day mark which was the deadline for a full refund of the plan price. However, every time I tried to cancel, I was presented with roadblocks.During my initial visit to the dealership, I had called (around mid-6/2014) and the re/ceptionist said that I could come by anytime to speak with the finance department. When I arrived, I was kept waiting for over an hour and a half due to other customers. I was told to come back at a later time. Therefore, I scheduled an appointment to ensure a meeting. During this next meeting, I had expressed my intention to cancel. I had filled out paperwork and signed it. However, the finance manager said he would give me a day to think about it and that I didn't have to turn in any paperwork. After that day, I called back and said that I would be going through with the cancellation. I called back multiple times, the finance manager was never available. I had to talk to my sales person, John S[redacted] who said he would relay the message. On 07/17/2014, I called to make sure the cancellation was being processed. I received confirmation from John S[redacted] from the phone and in email that this was the case. However, as of 03/09/2015 my warranty is active and I have not received a refund. If there was any further action needed on my part, I believe the dealership should have notified me. Instead they did not and left the warranty on - and keeping my money in the process. I believe this is an unacceptable practice.Desired Settlement: I would like the amount that was due to me. I had not utilized the warranty at all since the time I had requested my cancellation.As per the email from John S[redacted] on 07/17/2014, a representative of your company, "I just spoke with the finance department and confirmed that your cancellation is being processed."
