Review: I went to the store because I bought a jacket but the jacket on one side is defected and went I went to talk with the owner she let me talk alone and she said that final sale have no exchange. I understand that but the way she treat me is not fair .Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement just because it was a gift to my mom for Christmas .

While we recognize that the customer is not satisfied with how our manager has handled this
situation and appreciate the time the customer has spent to express her concern, Style World will
politely decline the desired settlement. ·
The customer had purchased an item that has been marked down from $21.99 to $10.99. This
item was placed on final sale not because the coat/jacket was defective but rather because it was
an unusually hot winter and we were looking to make room for new shipments of clothing for the
upcoming season.
It is our store policy that all sale items are final sales meaning that they cannot be brought back
for returns or exchanges. This policy is written in large print and placed throughout the store in
multiple visible locations. This policy is also written on the receipt, and our sales associates are
trained to notify all customers purchasing final sale items. Customers are advised at the register
to confirm the desired size and check for potential defects on all final items because exchanges
or returns are not allowed.
The fact that this customer returned with a final sale item with damages shows that the customer
either willingly purchased and left the store knowing the condition of the product after being
notified by a sales associate that final sales cannot be returned or exchanged or the merchandise
was brought back in a lesser condition than when purchased to bolster their case in hopes of an
exchange. This places Style World in an uncomfortable situation because if an exception were to
be made for this customer we would have to make the same exception for all of our customers. If
this were the case, we would not be able to sustain discount or sale offers because many of the
sale item prices are reduced below our purchasing price.
