Scammers
I call them and ask about pricing for moving bc to ab they said 2000 pounds for $1045 , and 3000 pounds $1445 I ask them if u guys have any other charges mike said u have summer special deal going on if u book with us today sent me deposit today then I give u $50 dollars discount I clearly ask him if they have any other hidden charges because I can’t pay more then $1500 dollars for moving he said only 5% gst no other charges after I send deposit $200 dollars he sent me quote where shows 18% fuel charges which he can not explain me when I call him and then I saw there reviews 43 1 star reviews when I send him those reviews screenshots and ask him he said they r our employee which we fired last year reviews r fake how come 43 people have same bad experience with them, they scammed with me didn’t return my deposit back and cancelled my booking, plz don’t call them for moving first they talk to u nicely after sending deposit they don’t ans ur calls

I booked in early June my schedule moving day (June 29 at 9 am) and asked for an empty truck.

I called On June 28 to confirm my 9 am pick up time. (They were supposed to call me but never did) They changed my 9 am pick up for a late afternoon pick up.
They showed up at 7 pm with almost a full truck with not enough room for all my stuff.
Really!
I told the driver I was not happy with an almost full truck and 7 pm pick up time.
He was offensive, aggressive and told me: If you are not happy, go f..k yourself. !
Wow, I was surprise to hear that from a professional moving company.
I refused to do business with them and asked the driver to give me his supervisor's or manager's phone number cause the office was closed.
He refused to help me and told me nasty words and I felt unsecure and threatened by him.
Next day, I spoke with someone and explained the Issued I had.
I had confirmation that I will receive a refund for my deposit.
Still no refund and no help from customer services after multiple calls and emails.
Style Moving Van Lines has no customer services. Poorly managed business.
Get a U-Haul truck and move your stuff yourself.

SCAMMERS!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THEM! They gave me a quote of $850 to move from Vancouver to Edmonton. I found them cheaper than everyone else so I went ahead with them. Even though I had a bad gut feeling… Anyways they took a $200 deposit to come pick the items up. So after they picked all my items up. I should have owed them $650. But they said I had way too many things even though it was a 2 bedroom townhouse. They charged me $1500 extra. So I paid $1700 in total. Then it was so hard to get a hold of them. I got my items delivered to me a month after. Even though they said 2 business days only. They dodge all your calls! The I got an email saying I need to pay $2000 more since the weight was more or else they won’t drop my things off and charge me storage fee. I was desperate and needed my items. I paid that as well. After that they still took over 2 weeks to deliver my items. I had to keep bugging them and call the business bureau and then they finally brought my things. They said they’re charging $300 to bring my items in the house. They didn’t even put my bed together and so many boxes and all my expensive items are missing! I paid over $4000! These people will scam you and take half your things! I need to sue them if anyone wants to do a civil law suit with me please let me know! These people are disgusting and evil. Please go with someone else!

Rip off artists
Wow! after reading these reviews sounds like this company steals property of others and has no regard for anyone’s things! I work for a storage company and am always looking for reputable movers from all over Canada to recommend. I certainly will be telling everyone not to use this nightmare of a company! It’s Time to put them out of business.

Missing boxes
It’s been almost 3 months since I lost my boxes. Also there is no response about the broken furniture. Can you let me know what’s going on. Did you guys find my stuff.
Also what about documents I have been asking for the proof of weight and what type of investigation like when where and how you conduct the inquiry.
Why is your system such worst nightmare.
Is your claim department alive or dead. There is no response from there too.
Seriously, are you guys running a company or scam.? Why can’t you provide written proofs of what you talk about.

Missing boxes
Worst company , terrible service, they gives mental breakdown, I was missing 4 boxes of valuables and confirmed that didn’t find my boxes and they lost and offered me to $175 for damages and stuff You guys know what’s the price of king size bed frame and storage organizer price and office chair price And all the furniture is damaged And you know what’s the value of the things in the boxes And how do you know how much my lost items weighed? We want our stuff back And we don’t want your excuses and explanation Your job is to move my stuff one place to other safely. How can you lost my stuff ? You guys are a professional *** We did not accept 175$ because it does not even worth for one box how can we accept? If you did not find my stuff and doesn’t give enough worth money for my damaged furniture I WILL BE FILING TO THE COURT And SUE ON YOUR COMPANY. Why your open your business when you didn’t even work professionally ?

Worst moving company ever
These guys are scammers. They will tell you one thing and then talk out of the other side of their mouth. Nothing they said was true. They quoted me on the weight of my things and then told me they were charging me by volume - at double the cost of the quote. They refused to weigh my things, left half of my items, and then had the nerve to tell me that it would cost me an extra $3000 to come and pick up the remainder of my house - they did this the DAY BEFORE I WAS LEAVING MY HOUSE! The movers did another house before mine and had the nerve to tell me I had too much stuff and it didn't fit in the truck - THAT"S BECAUSE THEY DID ANOTHER MOVE JUST BEFORE! These guys are the worst scammers out there.

If anyone wants to do a class-action lawsuit, please let me know.

I will gladly jump on a class action lawsuit. I have 6 clear violations on my contract with them. I’m awaiting my PAID AND INVENTORIED items to be delivered to me. Drivers left with them. I will see how this gets handled in the next day, then I will connect with you. My lawyers already have my contract.

SCAM ON WAYBILLS
In Oct I moved my stuff to Calgary ALTA.. 3 times the quoted amount. In Nov I moved back to BC, again 3 times the amount quoted. both ways the way bills had the exact same weight on them. However I dumped a 400 lb Sofa Bed, 2 dressers, a wall unit, a coffee table and 15 boxes... but the way bill stated the exact same... amount of LBS. I asked for no storage and direct delivery was ordered 2 to 12 days.. from Nov 29 2021.
I brought this to Josh's attention who denied that this could happen, only to contact me leaving a voice mail admitting they had made an error and a new waybill with the quote in CF =LBS... not the same as original way bill.. FRAUDULANT behaviors . As of today I do not have my stuff that was on a 2 to 12 day delivery (P/U ON 11/29 ..BILLED ON 1/2/22. FIVE AND HALF WEEKS AFTER P/U AND SCHEDULED DELIVERY and owing for a way bill that is three times the amount quoted. OFFENSES UNDER THE CONSUMER AND CORPORATE AFFAIRS , AS WELL AS DEPATMENT OF TRANSPORTATION LAWS.

I left the booking of the moving company to my husband as I was dealing with family things. He got a quote from Style Moving and decided to go with them. We had a 900 sq. foot condo and an 1700 sq. foot rancher, 10 minutes apart, in Abbotsford and need our stuff to go to Cranbrook, BC. The quote was for $6,500. I felt that was probably a little low and expected another 1 or 2k upon final billing. FINAL CHARGE WAS $16,500 AND THEY WOULD NOT MOVE THE TRUCK (WITH ALL OUR BELONGINGS IN IT) UNTIL WE PAID THE BILL! We were just shocked and had no options but to pay the bill because new owners were taking possession of the house within hours. When they showed up in Cranbrook it was a st show! I packed all our items personally and used a massive amount of bubble wrap, 15 boxes of it, to wrap our glass and pottery knicknacks and kitchen ware. I have over 40 photos of broken items, irreplaceable pottery from Mexico, family heirlooms, Medalta bowls, handblown glass, etc, etc all shattered. Boxes visibly crushed, all 8 chairs from our dining room set damaged, gouges in our solid wood dining table, both outdoor Rubbermaid patio storage containers crushed and not usable, everything inside both shattered, floors in our new home gouged, etc. They refused to put the boxes in the rooms they were marked to go in. They did not wear masks per Health Department mandates. So, I spent a few hours documenting all damage with pictures and descriptions, to at the minimum, receive some financial compensation via the Insurance they say they have. after about 5 weeks we received a reply stating we have a $350 deductible and the payout is based on weight. They will pay 60 cents per pound. They say our items did not weigh enough at 60 cents per pound to pay us any amount over the deductible so we would receive nothing. Further down the email they state they will give us cheque for $149.00 and it's the final offer. I have moved 4 times in the last 25 years and never experienced such criminal activity. Please see the photos and never, ever give this company your business.

To whom it may concern!

My complaint outlined, my concerns with the process that took place on the 30th October. I was sent a quote on the 12th October, which was incorrect, 2 bed apartment. Told the sales rep, who then sent me another moments later. My home is a 3 bedroom town house. No furniture to move only two beds, with packed boxes in the basement, however kitchen to be packed. Asked for packing to be done! As I am disabled.

As described in my previous complaint. The moves that came where I’ll equipped to services, the move. Also 7pm on the 30th October, was inconvenient for me. Had to, call friends to come over to help. Movers told us that they were told that it was a 2 bed apartment. Did not have materials, ie cloth racks. Movers also told us that they had not slept for30hrs, when we heard this, it was disturbing, and unforgivably, giving such a high stress situation.

Received a call on the 29th November, from a storage unit company to say that I would be charged, for storage from 1st December. I did also get a invoice In November, which quoted 3 times the estimate. At this point, I was very perplexed, and disappointed. One understands that my quote was an estimate, so was more than willing too pay more, but not three times more.

With that been said! At this juncture, and with the advise of counsel. If I do not receive, a response or some attempt to resolve this situation, I will take civil litigation forward. Please reply within 7 days.

Run far away from this company
STAY AWAY!

If could give zero I would. They wouldn’t give a contact before I gave a deposit. I spoke with Tom on the phone and insisted everything we agreed to be in writing. We emailed back and forth. Once the price was agreed upon and all my questions were answered in the emails I agreed to give a deposit. After I gave my credit card for the deposit they sent tbt contract. The contract was not what we agreed to. Is called Tom right away as he changed our terms. At first he played dumb. Them I reminded him I had the emails as proof. He wouldn’t changed the contract and said I could get my money back. He said he’d get his accounting department to issue us a refund. Didn’t happen. I filed a complaint with the BBB he flat out lied. Again I have the emailed to prove it but there is nothing they can do. So I lost the deposit. I had to book a Uhaul and a flight fly out to help my son move home. Tom won't answer my emails and has blocked my number. Save your money and save yourself the stress of what this company will put you through. It’s so sad how people can purposely scam other people. 🥲

My stuff was picked up on October 28 from Langley British Columbia and I was told that it was going to take 2 to 9 business days when the movers had picked up my stuff they notified me that the shipment will be going out to Alberta in two days on the fifth they asked for the rest of their money and said my stuff will be leaving bc as soon Are you transferred them the money I got a letter saying that my stuff will be shipped off to Alberta they told me it would take 2 to 9 business days from the pick up time it’s been 19 days and Mara grace doesn’t really respond to me she tells me that she’s going to get a hold of dispatch then I called the main office the person who was picking up the phone is very rude and doesn’t know how to have any customer service ethic I have two children who are three and six years old I have one arm and brain damage due to a car accident I feel like as if they’re taking it vantage of the week I had to go buy some furniture spent over $1000 just so we can live in my home because I don’t know when my stuff is going to come I talk to administrator via email she told me a got to Calgary today and dispatch will get a hold of me very soon I was given a 100% guarantee that it was going to be here today Monday at 6:10 and the whole office is ignoring me I would like compensation they haven’t offered any I’m going to be getting a lawyer and taking them to civil court I feel as if they’re taking my belongings hostage when I’ve already paid the full amount that is unfair I was also told that the shipment would be taken off on 5 November it never happened I am upset angry and they can’t even have the courage to call me and talk to me they ignore my calls don’t use this company I don’t even want to give them a one star I hope thisCompany goes out of business because it will be karma for the way they treat people it’s inhumane

Absolute s*** show
They moved my roommates out of our house on October 26th, and told them their stuff would be delivered out to Trail, BC by Nov. 1.

It's now Nov. 12, and they haven't even weighed the truck yet.
They've been dodging calls, refusing to honor the move itself, and won't give them a discount or reimburse them for the money they've had to spend buying new stuff as temporary stand-ins for the stuff that's being held hostage in the moving truck, which they've parked and left who knows where.

Do NOT choose this company. They lure you in with their low prices, but then f[censored] you over.
You get what you pay for.

Worst choice ever
Was told 4-7 buisness days for a move, they picked our stuff up on October 26th it’s now November 10th and they are telling us they don’t have anyone who will move our stuff to our new address, and that we need to drive the 8 hours back and off load are stuff and get new movers…. They already have taken a 200$ deposit and getting a hold of anyone is a nightmare, they constantly let us know dispatch will get ahold of us and this has happened every day since the 2nd…..

The photo is how much stuff they have of ours, plus the roommates stuff they packed even though we said not to three times, and they left our lawn mower and other items in Vancouver, the lawn mower was left in the front yard of an east van home with out letting us know…..

Worst Moving Experience
This is the worst moving experience that I've ever had. First they quote you a number that is based on a ridiculously low weight estimate. The actual quote based on the real weight was 3 times the estimate. I wasn't told this fact until they had picked up and then I had no choice to pay if I wanted my belongings delivered. The delivery then showed up a week later than was promised. On the day of delivery I was told to expect them around 4:30 pm. Instead, the deliver didn't show up until 8:30 pm at which the driver demanded $400 more because he wasn't told about the stairs. He then left everything outside my apartment because I refused to pay.
My advice if you are moving is to sell as much as possible and replace at your destination. You will end up saving and not have to deal with the stress of dealing with a moving company.

They made sure the deposit charge on my credit card went through before telling me it was non refundable. If your moving into an apartment building where booking the elevator is needed they won’t guarantee a delivery date also found this out after they took the deposit.

Highly dissatisfied with the service. I hired the moving company for moving within Vancouver. The person (Dan) who booked the moving service for me gave me an incomplete quote. I had to contact the company 5 times to get the right quote and details of my move. On the day of the move the movers didn't use the so called complimentary moving blankets and spoiled my furniture. When I contacted the company about this issue they said they cannot do anything about it. I was promised that the movers are professional and any damages would be covered in the cost. I would not recommend this moving company for anyone. Highly arrogant people who are just there to get your money!! Be aware!!

We also understand that you had been provided with the term and conditions well ahead of your move. The contract clarifies the claim coverage along with other terms we agreed upon. This small local move is completed with minimum charge as we quoted, there are no possibilities for confusion.
Considering the claims made by client, ( very small scratch on one of the furniture ) we had offered a special discount for the future move to sustain our relationship that declined from the client.
At this uncertain times we will continue to provide most affordable rates to our customers along with quality service concept.

Hello, The company came to pick up my inventory to move it from Golden B.C. to Bromont in Québec and they keep postponing the delivery date with some random excuses. I have tried many many times to get in touch with the dispatcher without any luck. It has now been more than 2 weeks since the truck was supposed to come and bring me my household stuff. Do I have any recourse? I do not owe than money or anything.
