I was contracted by [redacted] to install the lawn at [redacted] Pass on April 22, Down payment CK# for $Lawn was scheduled for spring but got pushed back due to [redacted] losing her employmentShe asked if there was a way to cut costI explained a few things to her & said most of the work is mechanicalAs far as I know the site sat thru summer with no maintenanceSite was weedy when work started on August 27th., however timing for the installation of the lawn was great.(Fall Seeding) When work started on site I set lawn grades to the subdivision specs in accor***ce with Village of HarrisonGrade on the south side needed to be cut down someNot an issue because lot was vacantThe grade between the [redacted] and [redacted] Papermaker was off approximately 14"Stumpf's notified the [redacted] & the neighbor of the situationThe grade was cut in to the correct gradeWe offered to fix the neighbors, the neighbor declined & said he was having his landscaper fix the area a second timeI told the [redacted] at that time that gutter protection will be needed for the entire site , especially the north site where the grade sloped off moreRunning downspouts to the property edge was not going to work because of the gradeIt needed to be ran to the roadStumpf Creative recommends this to every homeowner having a lawn installed to help prevent wash outLawn was completed the following dayAugust 28thInstruction were given to homeowner & told them to follow instructionsThe area did receive rain over that weekend and did wash out north property lot line someChecked on site a few times in that timeTold homeowners site needed to be fertilized by Oct [redacted] picked up 50lbsslow release fertilizer(22-0-+2% iron)for the lawn on October 3, which bill is outstandingSeed was given to him at no charge also to apply to some bare areasLawn was looking good going into winterNothing was ever said about wash out, a low area holding water, or grass not growing in that area I called and left a message for [redacted] on January 27, regarding the fertilizer invoiceNever received a call back regarding the outstanding billTalked with [redacted] in April and said I would look at siteSite was looked at May 6thGrass was established on entire site for only having 3-months of growing timeTold [redacted] lawn needed to be fertilized again to feed young grass [redacted] & I missed each other by phone ***'s call 5-29-Return call to [redacted] on 6-1- [redacted] call 6-4- [redacted] reached me by phone on June 15thAsked when trench/washout was to be fixed & questioned the quality of the seed saying lots of clover in the grass seedI told the homeowner that the trench/washout was not my responsibility and there is no clover seed in our custom seed mixThere is 0.01% inert matter in the mixSet a time with him the next day to look at yardLooked at site and told [redacted] the clover is in the existing groundThe empty lots next to the yard has a lot of clover growing everywhereTold [redacted] clover needed to be sprayed with a broad leaf herbicideLot was starting to dry upLarge cracks in lawn were visible which tells me no watering was being doneWe looked at side yard where wash out was, this was the first time I was told about a low areaGrass is established in the areaWater was not standing in area at this timeI told him I would need to check low area with a laser to see if area could be filledTold him if work was needed, we would work it in when a crew had a couple hours to fix areaAlso asked when next fertilizing was going to be appliedHe said a company was schedule to apply fertilizerAt this point I asked [redacted] about the fertilizer bill from JanuaryHe said he would pay bill when work was completeSaid fertilizing has nothing to do with low areaProduct was picked up last fall [redacted] last call to Stumpf'sNo date recordedAsked when work was going to be completed, stated the neighbors were getting mad because of the standing waterI told him work will get done, I needed a crew free for a couple hoursWas not starting the day with a small projectAlso stated to [redacted] that we have not received rainWondered how area could be wet [redacted] said he was going to call the Revdex.com if work was not done in a weekI told him I would do what I can, when a crew was freed upAsked him to pay fertilizer billSaid he would pay bill when area was fixed [redacted] stated he called Stumpf's on July 3rdStumpf Creative was closed due to the holidayNo message was received.Stumpf Creative Landscapes has been in business for yearsIf there is a low area in the yard, Stumpf's will fill the area at no chargeThis has nothing to do with the fertilizer bill from last fallBill should have been paid last year.Please call or email me here to discuss this matter furtherLet me know you received this email.Thank You, [redacted] Jr.Stumpf Creative Landscapes, Inc.Ph
