I've been doing business with Lowelll Jewlery & Loan for at least 5yrsWhen life hit me with hard financial challenges and needed extra money to make ends meet, Lowell Jewelry and Loan became my go to placeHaving to put sentimental items in the trust of Complete strangers to gain a little extra cashMost definitely was a bit scary! My fear quickly became relief and strangers became friendsI want to thank everyone at Lowell Jewelry & Loan for the great service you all have provided meHappy Holidays to all of you and your families
Whether [redacted] is under the same ownership as Studio 19, I don't know. [redacted] did not honor my gift cards for my appointment on Thursday, 5/8. Instead I was given an email to contact Studio 19 when I asked, "How can I reach them?" The address and telephone number...
is the same.

Response:
Studio 19 Salon and Spa is closed and went out of business in August 2013.
The new salon that is renting the space was extending the courtesy and accepting any gift cards that were purchased in 2013 until the end of the year.
However, according to my records your gift cards were purchased in October
of 2011 and 2012. Your last visit to Studio 19 was in December 2012 when you used almost the whole gift card. You had plenty of time to use these gift cards.
We are sorry you had a balance left but unfortunately we went out of business

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
They are thieves and liars.
My wife is fighting [redacted] and they judging here, that she had enough time to use "gift" cards.
What a disgrace. Shame on them.
During this time there are more important things to deal with like chemotherapy than to think about card that had no expiration declared on the face of the card.
My wife still has about three hundred dollars unused on so called "gift cards"
Company didn't declare bankruptcy. But even during the bankruptcy company is required to deal with liability and to contact customers to whom company is liable.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Response:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Studio 19 Salon & Spa regarding complaint ID [redacted].
Sincerely,
Review: I had received 4 gift cards to go to Studio 19 Salon & Spa as gifts for facials and Swedish massages. I was unaware Studio 19 had gone out of business when I went on Thursday, May*, 2014 for a massage and facial. I was informed by the receptionist at [redacted] Salon, the new name given to the salon & spa, that Studio 19 had went out of business September 2013. My 4 gift cards from Studio 19 Salon & Spa are worth $450.00. There was no expiration. I was a customer for many years. I expected the gift cards to be honored under [redacted] Salon. I would have certainly used these gift cards sooner had I known Studio 19 Salon & Spa was going out of business. I was unaware of the name change and [redacted] Salon refusal to honor Studio 19 gift cards. No contact was made to customers by Studio 19 Salon & Spa.Desired Settlement: I am expecting a refund of $450.00 for the 4 gift cards for services not rendered by Studio 19 Salon & Spa and paid for in cash. Although the new name is [redacted] Salon, my gift cards should have been honored by [redacted] Salon. I would have accepted their services.
