Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 11, 2015/10/21) */ [redacted] enrolled with our company in March for a consolidationAt the time of enrollment, he was seriously in default on his federal student loans, and failed to advise us, despite our direct questions, if he was in a wage garnishmentIn April of we were notified that the client was in an active wage garnishmentWe advised him in accordance with the U.SDepartment of Education guidelines that he would not qualify for a consolidation or be eligible for one until he rehabilitated his loans and stopped the wage garnishmentWe agreed that we would convert his contract into a Rehab and Wage Garnishment hearing Not only in accordance with the signed contract that states this conversion to happen if it were discovered that the client was in a wage garnishment, but we followed all of the U.SDOE guidelines and established the Rehabilitation program with the collection agency that had the loansIn addition, we serviced this client for multiple months going back and forth trying to get the correct documents for a wage garnishment hearing, and he could follow our instructions and get the proper and correct documentation to us in the requested time frameAnother point that he agreed to in his signed contractMr [redacted] himself decided to take it upon himself multiple times in this process to communicate directly with the collection agency despite the power of attorney that we had on file and our repeated requests not toMr [redacted] expected to be the only client that we had at the time and would start panicking if someone did not return his email or his phone call within a couple of hours of it being sent to usThis is what resulted in him not only writing up this report, but calling in his payments to the collection agency, despite being told not to Every phone call and every email that he has sent us has always been answered within 24-hours as per company policy In addition, we have completed his program, because as his contract states, we were obligated only to facilitate the Rehab program with the collection agency, negotiate it, and stop the wage garnishment All of which we have successfully completed
