correspondence dated July 1, [redacted]5 regarding the above noted client. In March of [redacted]5 Ms. [redacted] hired us to process her application for Student Debt Consolidation into anIncome Based Repayment Plan. We identified that based on her current income and family size shequalified for a monthly payment to the Department of Education of$ 0.The fee she agreed to pay us for our document preparation services and she signed a contract for was$495.00.The client's application for the consolidation and the Income Based Repayment plant was submitted March10,2015. On March 23,20151 received an email from the client stating that she had concerns about beingable to pay the monthly service fee. I forwarded this communication to the Account Manager who workedwith the client initially. On March 23, [redacted]5, the Account Manager spoke with the client and she stated shewas concerned about her future payments because she has not worked actively for the past 3 years andthat she was applying for Disability. She also stated that she still wished to move forward and wanted topay the full $ 495 document preparation fee that same day and she provided a new credit card# for thepayment from what we previously had on file. The payment was ran as requested and it cleared. On Apri129, [redacted]5 we notified the client that her consolidation had been completed on April15, [redacted]5 andthat her application for the Income Based Repayment Plan was still being processed. An administrativeforbearance was placed on her account by the new servicer while they completed their internal processing. The client's application for the Income Based Repayment Plan was approved and her monthly payment is $0 for the next 12 months beginning July 26, [redacted]5.The client was never promised we would pay off her loans, she was advised that if she stays enrolled in theIncome Based Repayment program after 25 years the government will forgive the balance of her debt. Inaddition to the program being explained to her by the Account Manager a second review of the terms of hersigned agreement with us and the program details of how the Income Based Repayment Plan works wasverbally performed by phone on March 6, [redacted]5.A monthly service payment of$ 39 was deducted from the client's account on July 1, [redacted]5. A refund ofthat amount was issued to the client today and should be in her account within 72 business hours. Her file and all additional payments have been cancelled.[redacted] Student Debt OptionsCER:[redacted]@studentdebtoptions.org844-[redacted] ext. Review: Got into a program called forgiveness program and come to find out that it's a fraud. I payed them $475 to start the process and they said they were going to pay off my loan from college of $15,000 and change and I kept receiving letters from fedloans saying I haven't paid and I still owe money. I spoke to a rep from fed loans and I told her why do I still owe the $15,000 that a company called forgiveness program paid it off for me and she giggles and said they caught you too. I was confused and asked her what do you mean. She then explained to me about this company and how they are doing false advertisement so they can steal from students that owe money back but in reality they say they going to pay and that I have to pay $40 a month for a promise of 20-25 years but they never paid and in fact I'm paying them back and they are ripping me off. The lady then told me to contact the better burea business and make a complaint so these so called company can keep getting in trouble. I would like to know how can I get my $475 back that I paid in April of [redacted]5. I try contacting the women from the company and she has not yet got back to me. I sent her an email as well and nothing. Makes me to believe that this company is so true of a scamDesired Settlement: I want for this company to get shut down or whoever they are stop trying to take advantage of students and stop stealing their hard earn working money. It's a shame how we can't even trust companies anymore.
