I had a patio enclosure done by Stuart Awning just under three years ago and the work is still under written warranty About a foot crack in the exterior stucco showed up several months agoThere shouldn't be any stucco cracks on a job this new
I have called on more than one occasion and spoken with two owners at least twice After repeated calls, I made an appointment twice with *** *** to address the crack issue *** did not show up for either scheduled appointment This is very poor customer service
Also, something was not done properly when the framing was laid down for the room because the room leaked water when we had a heavy rain When I asked Stuart Awning to address this issue over a year ago, they ran caulking around the base of the exterior of the room after the first leak happened-- but water leaked under the framing again the next time we had a heavy rain I am now going to have to go to the trouble and additional expense to tile the room, using grout, to try to prevent any leakage into the room in the future
Buyer beware
We're sorry to hear of the water leak in the cover. We understand it was built and completed in June 2015 and had no issues. Stuart Awning warranties the products we sell and install to be free from material defect and defect in workmanship. We don't promise or imply that water...
won't leak through in some events. This can be caused by wind forcing water in a direction again the drainage of the cover or by several other weather-related events. This doesn't mean the product was installed improperly or that anything is defective in the manufacturing process. As an additional note, we have discontinued operations in the Northern Utah area, effective 7/31/15 and are no longer in business in the Northern Utah area.
We understand the frustration for having to wait so long for the cover to be completed. We also understand that you did issue a chargeback from your credit card company to receive the deposit back, which was returned to you on or about September 8th of this year. In full disclosure,...
which I'm not sure Vaughn gave you, the project manager with whom you were working is no longer with the company. We unfortunately didn't see your paperwork from him for almost a month after your project was sold despite having requested it many times. I'm under the impression that you were unable to contact him, as were we. We did also have some personnel issues in getting your job installed, as our installer is no longer with us as well. As that satellite operation was closed, Vaughn S[redacted] was the contact for the remaining jobs that needed to be installed. My most sincere apologies that contact wasn't made in a timely manner and that this information wasn't disclosed to you as it happened so that you were kept informed. We have, to my understanding, completed the job for you to your satisfaction. If this isn't the case, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll take care of it. I am including my contact information.Kelli B[redacted]###-###-####[redacted]@stuartawning.com
