Before ''Posting' this review please note I've taken a period of 60+ days to totally review the work done by Strong Arm Construction We entered into contract with Mr*** owner of Strong Arm Construction, with the understanding that upon completion of a job with the school district, which would conclude in approximately a two weeks After an extended period of waiting we attempted to contact Mr*** yet, we found that leaving messages produced the same results....nothing
When finally reaching someone, (only because we finally found someone), it was explained that their company had been involved
in other matters and that it was their error by failing to contact us about the delay The beginning of a litany of excuses
While the tile was being laid we noticed bumps appearing in several areas of the floor already completed The "bubbles" were very apparent and when we expressed our concern the response received was, "once the floor settles the air pockets will disappear."
Also noted was the fact furniture had been returned to the main bedroom before the tile had settled, thus we have a portion of our bedroom floor that is beyond repair and needs to be replaced
As for the "bubbles" which continue to appear we were advised to poke a hole in he "bubble" then using wax paper go over the "bubble" with an iron till it dissipates My response was to ask them to consider my wife and I are both elder/disabled also note I suffer paralysis of my left leg, and my wife suffers severe back problems
The completed job resulted in "bubbles" appearing every where Strong Arm laid the vinyl flooring After more than two attempts, the utilization of two different rollers, the "bubbles" kept
appearing throughout every area Strong Arm laid vinyl Once the job was completed we began to see the "bubbles" through out our home in every area Strong Arm replaced the vinyl After return visits failed to eliminate the problem it became apparent that no matter how many attempts Strong Arm made to rectify the situation, they either lacked the knowledge to lay vinyl or had little to NO concern for customer satisfaction Once we realized that after visits with no results the only recourse would be to have the work evaluated by other contractors The overall conclusion was that the old vinyl had not glued to the floor base thus the old vinyl raising and pulling away from the floor base and molding Consequently Strong Arm fully knowing the condition of the old flooring attempted to SAVE MONEY ln conjunction with their bid rather then see the consumer is provided with appropriate materials and workmanship Bottom line is Strong Arm I believe knew the old flooring needed to be removed yet in order to save on additional cash flow they were willing to do a sub-standard job, all the while
assuring us customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance
We were in fact able to find a contractor to re-tile areas that had become vital First course of action pull up new vinyl then REMOVE ALL old vinyl, hence the areas redone no longer have the "bubbles"
As for communication if you like excuses, or trying to schedule your time accordingly, by that I mean you'll be given arrival times....to which no one appears You can call the office but even if you have work in progress don't hold your breath waiting a returned call All my years in business I've never worked with a company that will freely admit the right hand knows nothing the left is doing That's more then obvious The circumstances related in all actuality show the consumer is of little concern to Strong Arm Construction
Contracted with the owner Mr*** to replace the existing vinyl flooring through out our residenceAt that time we were advised that their current job would be completed within a couple of weeks at which time our job would beginAfter waiting 30+ days without any contact, we began what was to become one of many attempts to contact any agent of Strong ArmWhen we were able to make contact it was explained that they had become involved in other matters and basically forgot about our contractThis in itself reflects Strong Arms concern for customer satisfaction as there was never any explanation why no response was ever made to numerous messagesOnce a crew finally arrived and began to install the new vinyl flooring my wife and I noticed "bubbles" appearing in areas were the new vinyl was being laidAt that time we questioned the "bubbles" that were appearing and were advised that once the vinyl and glue set the bubbles would be eliminatedOnce the job was supposedly finished ther
