Stringfellow Properties

My husband and I rented a home from the Stringfellow for 2 years. We had tell tell signs that they were not very honest people, but we looked over it because we were not planning g to rent from them for ever. Once we gave them notice that we would be vacating their property at the end of the lease...they conveniently lost our rent check ( and they had very high late fees). Mind you we have never ever been late with them. Once called on it and asked to review any monitoring footage they might have available... they stated they did not such a thing ( which I highly doubt was true). I then explained verbally as well as through an email that we would not be paying the late fee, however, we would drop another check off. Of course later that day they found the check.
Then moving day came and my husband and I ensured the house was cleaned ( we even had the carpet professionally cleaned), I called and ask Mrs Stringfellow would she like to do a final walk through. Of course she declined and explained to me how to return the keys to the house. We later received a detailed itemization of why we were not getting our deposit back and they we would need to send them additional money for work done. Of course we emailed them that we did not agree and were willing to go to small claims court. They then adjusted some of the items and sent us $80 of the $900 deposit. What they did not know is we had taken pictures of the house before leaving because we figured they would do something like this. SMALL CLAIMS COURT here we come.
