I purchased a vehicle from Street's Transmission on 7/6/13 that was advertised as having a "newly replaced transmission" and a new Virginia state inspection sticker. I took the vehicle to another repair shop on 7/8/13 to have the oil changed and was advised that the driver side lower ball joint was bad, a passenger side idler arm was in need of replacement and the front tires had wires showing underneath where these issues had caused wear. None of these conditions should have allowed the vehicle to pass inspection. There was also no paperwork, or slips, showing proof of inspection, as is required by Virginia state law. The seller agreed to replace the ball joint and idler arm, but tires were our responsibility. Inspection paperwork was still not provided. When trying to title the vehicle in my name, it was told to me that the vehicle was being "jump titled", meaning that the seller did not put the vehicle in their name prior to selling it to me, this resulted in an additional trip to the DMV with the seller to fix the titling. After driving the vehicle to work and school for 2 weeks, the "new" transmission made a loud POP while driving, and now will no longer go into reverse and will not pull when in drive. I am very disgusted and upset with my purchase from this business, and will not be recommending repairs from them to anyone in the area.
