I had went to Stratford University in 2009- All I can say is this might be the biggest scam ive ever seen you basically pay for a degree that frankly isn't earned, none of the teachers take teaching seriously every test you take is open book including your mid term and finalthe prices are ridiculous I remember them telling me that I would be able to transfer with my associates degree come to find out that's not possible because it is not accredited and honestly should not be (because going from there to a place like mason would be extremely overwhelming) I feel as if I had just thrown k down the drain because it's all been lies you cant transfer, no job takes Stratford serious on a resume at least not in IT ive spent years applyingSo all in all just wanted to give anyone that was considering the school a major heads up and remember n*** is always cheaper and accredited

Review: I am student currently enrolled in the school and the financial aid department made and error in my loan packaging and instead of me running out of money at the end of the year as they stated I ran out two quarters before. They attempt to cover up the issue by not contacting me until 2 days before the next quarter was to start and say we have a problem after I went into the school at ask why $782.00 was sent back and nobody had an answer. Well we agree to do a payment plan of $100.00 a month because thats all I can afford and continue to live and they said long as a pay that I will be able to continue to attend class. Well once the arrangements were setup they came back and said well that wont be enough and you will not be able to register but you still have to pay. I feel I should not have to pay because I am not getting a return on my investment. I am student sitting on 3.8 gpa go to class do what I am supposed to do and no one wants to help me. The school made the error but I am the one paying for the error.Desired Settlement: I want and apology and an agreement that if I pay the monthly installments I will be able to attend classes and graduate

Regards,
Review: On May 30th 2013 I received an outstanding balance notification from Stratford University for tuition that occurred in 2009. Until this date I never had received a bill from Stratford stating that an outstanding balance was due. On June 12, 2013, I attempted to explain to Stratford that I did not have a file on this claim since it was over 4 years old. I was told that their accounting system was archived and they just "lost files" and currently they are going back through old records. I asked how could a University not have a monthly accounts receivable run with outstanding debts accounted for four years? Had they sent a bill in 2009, we could have addressed this then not in 2013.
When I left the school in 2009 I went into the financial aid office asked about any outstanding debt as I was not able to finish the course do to moving out of state. I was assured that there where no outstanding debt on my account. As I looked at the "Ledger Card" I questioned what these changes were for. I also requested that they audit the account. They told me that the account was paid on a cash bases and that they could not go back and prove any payments as it was too many years ago.
Stratford then stated that if I would PAY UP TODAY (June 12, 2013) they would accept the payment of 300.00 (total of the bill was 543.34) I explained to them that I was out of town on business and I could not get to my paperwork, (even if it still existed) until July. I wanted to check for the 1098 they should have sent me in 2009 regarding tuition charges. I also explained that the account would have to be made in three payments ($100.00 a month for 3 months). They told me no you must pay it in full or ELSE you will be charged the entire amount.Desired Settlement: This University has unethical accounting practices. Do to the fact that I was never billed the amount for 4 years and they admit their accounting error, they should write off the changes. They cannot produce any payment information. I wonder if the cash payments ever made it to my account??
