On September 11, *** *** of Artistic Window Company inspected windows at my residence for failed seals and cracks He also recommended cladding on a kitchen window I signed a contract for $to perform the work and paid a $deposit with balance due upon completion After two months I attempted to contact *** *** at the phone number provided (XXX-XXX-XXXX) and received an automated message from carrier (AT&T) I researched the automated message and it is only if the caller has blocked a number or service is suspended I tried the number from multiple phone lines and received the same automated message Called a second telephone number (XXX-XXX-XXXX) that I had from original scheduling and a women answers, but says she does not know *** *** or Artistic Window Company Unfortunately the address on the business card *** *** *** ***
PAID HALF DOWN FOR WINDOWS IN APRIL 2017, NOW MONTHS LATER STILL NO WINDOWS AND THEY WON'T RETURN CALLS
FEB - MAR Doors from Menard's were delivered to sawmill & the installer picked up 3/9/to install, but when he got to the house they were the wrong sizes (widths, depths,nothing was correct) When Menard's delivered doors, *** *** met them and measured before they left The sizes on the order are correct, *** *** of Artistic Windows measured and the installer also came and measured We had gone to Menard's to look at the doors & *** claims that we gave Menard's measurements & they had on file, so he ordered what we had supposedly told them I told him that we didn't give them any measurements, that's why we were having them measure & install the doors We got a price, just to see roughly what the doors would cost, but we didn't even have measurements The doors that came were all 36" wide, only door is 36" and the other are 32" I asked him, why
We were contracted to get gutters with our roof jobThe business demanded to be paid in full before installing themWe still don't have gutters
In late May, I signed a contract to have this company install a new roofThe contract stated a starting time of 2-weeksThe job wasn't started until July 10, I was told (not in writing) that the job would take less than a weekThe roofing portion of the job wasn't finished until July 26, This was during our vacation in FloridaThis company suggested I leave money with my mother-in-lawI refused to pay them the remainder of the money until I saw the roofI also expected to have the guttering finished as well as a complete roof so that the insurance company would send out the completion installment before I made the final paymentThe roofing business president, *** ***, called often asking for money even though the insurance company hadn't sent out final paymentHe even often called our insurance agent himself
