On 3/11/15 about 9:30 am Straightline Plumbing, [redacted], office manager, called [redacted] to see what I could do to make this customer happy. Per our conversation, Straightline Plumbing return the check for invoice #[redacted] in the amount of $3850.00. With the check return we agreed on a...

I am rejecting this response because:This is an inaccurate portrayal of what happened. The project was initiated in September and was promised in 1 weeks time. I did not move from the property until January 1. Between November and January I was continually in contact with the contractor urging them to get the job completed. There was ALWAYS some excuse: they didn't have the right part, the county inspector didn't know what he was doing, etc. MANY MANY times I was promised an appointment which was never kept and no call from Straightline to explain why. The contractor admitted that they had my contact information and my wife's contact information and did NOTHING between January and February when I called and complained. My moving had absolutely nothing to do with the delay. Additionally, this response does nothing to address the damage caused by Straightline Plumbing which I had to pay to have repaired. They did reduce the original invoice by $200 but that was only in response to my wife missing work. I requested reduction by an additional $700 (total of $900) for losses caused by the contractor and if this avenue of resolution fails I may seek remedy in court as all such losses are provable. The $500 I am requesting through this procedure is reasonable considering the atrocious customer service and actual damage to property I sustained in this matter. If this kind of service should not be allowed to stand as a reflection of a Revdex.com rated company.
Review: Heres a quick list of things that I feel were unprofessional and less than what I would expect from a contractor:- They showed up late (sometimes not at all) on every occasion except one, when they promised to be at my home by a deadline.-They showed up to my house high on marijuana and reeking of it when they were supposed to perform labor. When I complained about it to the owner, he said it was no big deal and some guys smoke pot. -They (while high on pot) took HOURS to diagnose a leak that was completely bypassed in the end. My water was off the entire time causing hardship to my family, and more than once when I checked on the laborer he was simply lying on the ground, unmoving (maybe asleep?).-They failed to properly install the main line the first time and it had to be re-done (again causing hardship by my family spending a day without running water). -They cut an irrigation hose in my backyard while trenching (after being shown exactly where they were), promised to fix it or replace it, and never did ( I had to buy a new one). -They took OVER FIVE MONTHS to do a project that they promised in ONE WEEKS TIME.-They lied to me about their experience. I was told originally that your guy had done several of the the jobs I hired them for, only later to find out he had never done ONE and didnt know how to get the job done. -They left trenches under supports in my subfloor that I had to pay another laborer to fix.-They left trash under my subfloor that I paid a worker to remove. -They smoked cigarettes in the subfloor and left butts (after I asked them to not smoke on my property). -They destroyed part of a decorative retaining wall that I had to repair.-They destroyed a flagstone path with a promise to replace the stones, and never did (I had to do it). -They missed three promised appointments without calling, causing me to miss work each time.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit of 25% of the $2000 I paid, $500, to reimburse me for my trouble and extra expenditures from their failures.

The original invoice was in the amount of $2200.00. There was a lapse in communication for about a month, this home owner moved from the address where work was done, we couldn't reach him by phone, number had been changed. When he finally contacted use we where able to get the inspection done. At that point the home owner and Straightline Plumbing agreed on discount of $200.00, sent him revised invoice. At that point, home owner then decided after agreeing to $200.00 he wanted us to take invoice down to $1300.00 from $2000.00, at that point we realized this customer wasn't going to happy since we already agreed n $200.00 discount.

Review: Enclosed please find a copy of a letter I sent to straightline plumbing.
The first time the water heater was installed, the inspector said it was done totally wrong.
I approved the cost of the water heater Installation over the phone. I gave the o.k. to do a few other minor things. I'm here in Nevada, so I didn't know exactly what they were. If I feel I was really taken advantage of.
By the end of the job my renter was afraid to be in the house with the workers alone, and had a friend stay with her.Desired Settlement: My feelings is that the -- were inflated to cover the cost of having to install the water heater twice.
My renter [redacted] went through hell with this work. her number is 916-284-0447
Yours sincerely [redacted]

Had a water leak between water meter and house. Called Straightline and they scheduled at earliest open time...two days out. I found that the leak was right behind the water meter and was leaking severely. I called them back to explain, and they re-shuffled their appointment and were there the very next morning. Inspected, verified, and fixed it right there on the spot, including breaking up part of the driveway to access the pipe, and re-pouring and re-finishing the cement. Good job and timely.
