Mandatory I house insurance because I am overseas. Outrageously expensive. Unwilling to waive it even in return for agreement to have no claims against them. Robotic, heartless, dreadful company.

I am rejecting this response because: this process is not getting anywhere; I am not satisfied with the answer and will be contacting an attorneyWe do not live in Kyle, but live fairly closeAlthough there was significant flooding in the area, the main flooding was near rivers and streamsOur home and employers were not immediately affected by the rainfall so we had no reason to believe our belongings were going to be affected eitherI am still under the belief that someone should have called or mailed correspondence regarding the "flooding" that took placeWe were renting two units during this time, however, only one was floodedIt is my belief if it flooded as indicated in your response both units would have been damagedThis also contradicts the need to notify as many clients because the entire storage facility was not damagedOne of the employees also told my husband this has been an ongoing issue and she also came in on her day off and paid movers to move a woman's belongings to another unit because the woman was furiousHaving the option to move to another (dry) location also indicates the entire facility was not covered in waterThe employee also stated she felt so bad about what was happening to the customers she considered quitting because she couldn't face the customers any longer after what was happening. Everything stated in these replies goes against what the employees are telling my husband, *** ***.
The amount of damages we are asking is insignificant, but means a lot to us as we lost a lot of furniture and clothes that now has to be replacedWe had previously rented from this facility about six years ago with no issuesAs stated previously, the most recent time we rented two units for just short of a yearDuring this time we paid at least $4,in rent in addition to the loss we incurredI do not feel this situation was handled correctly and will not recommend your company to anyone nor will I utilize it in the future. At this point I would rather pursue legal action than continue with this process.

I am rejecting this response because: this process is not getting anywhere; I am not satisfied with the answer and will be contacting an attorney. We do not live in Kyle, but live fairly close. Although there was significant flooding in the area, the main flooding was near rivers and streams. Our home and employers were not immediately affected by the rainfall so we had no reason to believe our belongings were going to be affected either. I am still under the belief that someone should have called or mailed correspondence regarding the "flooding" that took place. We were renting two units during this time, however, only one was flooded. It is my belief if it flooded as indicated in your response both units would have been damaged. This also contradicts the need to notify as many clients because the entire storage facility was not damaged. One of the employees also told my husband this has been an ongoing issue and she also came in on her day off and paid movers to move a woman's belongings to another unit because the woman was furious. Having the option to move to another (dry) location also indicates the entire facility was not covered in water. The employee also stated she felt so bad about what was happening to the customers she considered quitting because she couldn't face the customers any longer after what was happening. Review: On Saturday, July 13, my husband attempted to access our storage unit and a large RV was blocking it with stuff strewn about all over the alley. A total of about five units were blocked. My husband spoke with the person working in the office and they stated that they were unaware of the problem and would be taking care of it. My husband told them that we would return the following day. Sunday morning, the RV was still in the same place, the occupant was drinking beer and approached our car when he pulled up, cursing and aggressively showing us that he didn't want us there. We took a picture of the RV blocking our unit so that we would have proof that we were being prevented from accessing our unit. At this point, my husband went into the office and was told that they were aware of the problem and were trying to resolve it. We were told that we would be called by StorQuest by 5 pm, when the office closes, to let us know if the RV was moved or not. Sunday at 6 pm, we still had not received a call, so we attempted to access the unit, but the RV remained in place and the occupant was drinking beer. I called and left a message on StorQuest's v-mail stating that I still could access to my unit. I did not receive a call back. I called the Oxnard Police Dept. and was told that they would send an officer to the facility. I told them I would call them back if necessary. I left another msg on StorQuest's v-mail stating my intent to get the police involved and got a call back shortly after stating that they would have the vehicle towed and that it has been there since Friday. The vehicle was towed either late Sunday night or Monday morning, after blocking our unit since Friday. I have attempted to get the phone number for the district manager and have been given two different wrong numbers. The agreement is that I store my belongings and have access during the stated hours. This was not my experience. StorQuest allowed another tenant to block my access and did not resolve the issue in a timely manner.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the days that I was unable to access my unit and I would like them to pay my cost of truck rental to move my stuff to a new facility. They are unable to provide the service agreed upon in their contract. Not only did they allow a tenant to block access to my unit, but they allowed the tenant to loiter in front of my unit drinking beer and skateboarding around the facility, threatening me when trying to approach our unit. Unacceptable!
