Storm Team Construction

This has to be the absolute worst company I have ever had to work with in the state of Florida. The Sr. Project manager was a pompous, arrogant, and just plain rude individual who should not be working directly with clients. He took absolutely no accountability for his lack of knowledge of the scope of the work. Blaming it on the Attorney not providing information and a previous employee. Even after the attorney provided him with information on what was supposed to be included, he still tried to scam us out of almost $2,000.
He stated on so many occasions how we should be grateful we even got a new roof and that HE won us the case. He stated we didn’t even get charged for using his "preferred" law firm. He stated we should be happy we got a FREE quote on the roof. (Funny we got three other quotes and they were all FREE but he seems to think he did us a favor)
I didn’t need to work in a law firm for 12 years to know that when your insurance company denies your claim for something they are legally responsible to cover, you take them to court. Last I checked when you hire an attorney and they represent you in a case and they win the case for you, that said attorney is the one who won the case. I don’t know if Storm team usually "Charges" for referring a law firm but to state that we didn’t get charged for the referral is very telling of what kind of company you are dealing with. To state that the said Law firm works for them just because this law firm represented 6 of their previous clients is also very telling.
We are still finding nails in our mango trees, pool, yard all over, even though they said they came with a magnet to clean up. This is a danger to our animals as well as our grandkids and kids. Yes, they used a tarp a couple of times but many times they did not.
They had failed at least 3 inspections and even tried to convince the inspector to just let it pass. (We personally talked to the inspector)
I could go on and on here but I will spare you the agony and stress this has caused us. Stay far and clear from this Company unless you want to deal with a st show. Maybe its just the Sr. Project manager we had to deal with, I don’t know.
And yes they still trying to scam us out of money.

I am rejecting this response because:While I accept that things do not always go right the reasons provided are not acceptableWe are not unreasonable people and would completely understand that work cannot be completed in extreme heatThe issue was calling to schedule work to begin and then simply not showing upAfter the 3rd no show, I called and was simply told "we don't know where the crew is"When the crew finally arrived, work was started and then left overnight during which time there was a rain stormLeakage from the roof damaged our master closet and living roomThe water leaked onto our couch, carpeting and coffee tableWhile we appreciate the discount for a "nice dinner" we will probably have to replace the carpeting in our living roomAdditionally, the debris trailer was left in our yard for daysAgain, had we been told, it would have been fineFinally, we have been called several times to close out the paperwork and again, no one shows upWe understand that things go wrong but why make appointments if you don't intend on keeping them? Maybe you should take fewer jobs if you can't meet the demand and provide a basic level of customer serviceWe are having an independent inspector look at the work in order to ensure the warranty will holdUntil then, we will not be closing out this complaint Regards, [redacted]

At STC, we take our customers satisfaction very seriouslyI reached out to Mrs [redacted] directly to prove our commitment to making them happyWe will be setting up a meeting next week with her and the area rep for [redacted] If there is any workmanship issues we will take care of them We have had three field supervisors look at the area in question and agree that everything was installed correctly If there are any defects in material [redacted] will take care of themWe have extended the customer's warranty an additional years in order to give them even more peace of mind that we will stand behind our workWe will update the situation after the meeting with [redacted]

Response by Matt W [redacted] , [redacted] of Storm Team ConstructionI just want to clarify some things on this complaint before I go forwardWe did receive a portion of the insurance funds to start the job, but not the full amountDue to the extreme heat over the past few weeks, we have left materials sit longer than we would normally likeJobs that normally take a day or two are taking much longer due to 100+ heat indexesOur crew did have an issue with their equipment, and we did have to postpone the original build due to their equipment breaking downHowever, we rescheduled the roof again in hopes that the issues would be repairedThey were not completed as fast as we were once informed, so we did have to delay construction a second timeAfter hearing the displeasure of the [redacted] I contacted them directlyAt this point, we did get the crew out there to complete the roof, repair interior damage, and install gutters in the span of daysI have directly communicated with the [redacted] in the last days to confirm they were satisfied with our performanceWe also extended their warranty free of charge and gave them a customer service discount so they could use that money to go out for a family dinnerWhen you deal with the volume of jobs that we do, unpreventable circumstances do slow us downHowever, as we proved again we will go above and beyond to make sure our customers are fully satisfied with Storm Team Construction in the end
