I placed an order online on Wednesday and paid almost $for day shipping to ensure my friend got the gift basket on the day of her shower (Saturday)There were no alerts, call outs or delivery dates on the order form or confirmation email
When Monday arrived and my friend still hadn't recieved the gift basket, I emailed the company saying I paid for day shipping, but it hadn't arrived and I would like to be reimbursedThe rude response I got simply stated that a day delivery meant Tuesday since day is for processing and the weekend is not includedAppalled because I have NEVER heard that from any other online retailer I have ordered from and because I paid $to have it there on a specific date, not any number of days afterI mean what's the difference if it arrives Tuesday or the standard 12-business days if it wasn't there on the day of the actual shower? I explained this to the person at Stork Baby and again, asked for a refund or to talk to a manager because their policy was not clear to meThe response I got back was literally "Sorry did you read our policy?" with the shipping policy copied and pasted belowI reply, again, asking to be referred to a managerThe response from Stork Baby was "I am the owner and manager" along with how she would not reimburse me because the carrier would not refund, which no company would do eitherNow, I've ordered from a lot of places and I work for a supply company that frequent "swallows the cost" of carriers and/or misunderstood policies, which I explain to the owner, noting she should adopt a better attitude when interacting with customersI also told her I would be returning the gift because I wasn't going to support a business that conducted itself so rudely to a customerThe owner then tells me that I don't have the right to bully her because she stands by her policies and as a small business "can't go around reimbursing customers that don't read her policies." At which point, I say I'll contact her once the packaged arrived for return instructions and asked if she at leasted offered return shippingShockingly, she didn't
I don't make it habit to be a difficult customer, but in this case I sincerely felt lied to and cheated out of $The owner couldn't even acknowlege why I was upset or apologize for any lack of clarity on her website and her tone was beyond rude
Needless to say, I suggest you take your business elsewhereI sure will
