I have reviewed the response submitted by the business, Stone Systems. Please be advised that the person who responded had never reached out to me (even after I requested assistance from NBC), that much of his statement is inaccurate, and that I had requested the $300 before, which my husband and I feel is reasonable but had been rejected by Ms. [redacted]. However, the $300 offer from Stone Systems does satisfy the main issue in reference to complaint #[redacted] and I will therefore accept it. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,

Good morning,This is response to a complaint that we have attempted to resolve amicably on numerous occasions. Stone Systems of New England was contracted to measure and install a custom stone countertop through [redacted]. The back wall is over 14 feet long and the wall is...
far from straight. Our concern is always with the front of the cabinets and small gaps along walls would be usual and customary. Typically backsplash or tile address this with ease. Gaps in the photos are within industry standard. If the countertop was not cut to follow the wall, gaps would have been even larger, For customer satisfaction and as a matter of good will, we offered to install standard 4" backsplash at no charge. Caulking between countertops and walls is not within our scope of work with The [redacted] as this is usually done by a contractor or painter. Again, as goodwill, we offered to send a man to apply paintable caulk purchased by the homeowner was also declined. Our last offer was for $200. I now understand the customer is seeking $300. While I do not agree that SSNE should be responsible for the customer's cost of additional remodeling materials, we would like to resolve this amicably and will agree to $300 to resolve the matter. Please advise how to proceed. [redacted]General ManagerStone Systems of New England
