Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** ***
Revdex.com:MrG***’s substandard work and his complete lack of professionalism resulted in our great dissatisfaction with the kitchen island granite he fabricated and installed I also feel that MrG*** bullied, insulted and ignored us as concerned - paid in full customers.I was only at MrG***’s shop once when he wanted me to choose the curve to the granite edge However, he could not find his templates or samples and just pointed to another piece of granite and said how about this We agreed. My husband did go to Stone Pro Granite one more time when MrG*** called him in to tell us that he could not cut the island granite out of one piece as we had all agreed to It would have to be split (Prior to this MrG*** refused to split the granite because it would be prone to breaking where the sink would go.) After the fact, MrG*** asked my husband to approve the split and my husband did so to the best of his ability However, my husband DID NOT approve granite to be installed broken, cracked, mismatched, with dimensionally incorrect sink cutouts or mismatched corner radius. Additionally, neither my husband nor I read computer graphics and it would be unreasonable for us to know about any radius that MrG*** pointed to on a computer screen We believed that was his job and what we were paying him to do We just assumed that the corner radius on the island would match the rest of the granite corners in the kitchen Log of Events:Tuesday, May 12: MrG*** came up to our home to measure and take notes He was in a great deal of pain due to a back injury and his mood was impatient, his explanations short, and customer comments or questions were most unwelcome. Wednesday, May 27: Installation Day MrG*** was to be here at 9:am and was late He explained that was due to a police enforcement set up on Glenwood Street I am not sure what that is but he wanted to avoid it because he is a commercial business and he did not have safety chains on his trailer He was visibly upset and most unprofessional. MrG*** and one workman started to install the granite My husband reached out to touch the island tile as he understood MrG*** to ask for assistance However, MrG*** almost shouting stated: "Do Not Touch That!" My husband was surprised by MrG***’s reaction and apologized I was also taken back by MrG***’s unfriendly loud comments but tried to smooth the incident over by stating: "Yes, it is like in the china store, you break it you own it" MrG*** said nothing and we did not get near his work area again until he asked us where we wanted the faucet, soap dispenser and air touch disposal installed MrG*** had great difficulty lifting and securing the granite to the counter tops He indicated his bad mood was due to old age and his back injury He also complained that he was very upset due to the fact that he had lost an employee the evening before The employee left, saying "I Quit"! There was no two week notice or any advance indication he would not be coming back to work I believe MrG*** was taking his frustrations out on us. MrG*** insisted that we pay him in full ($2927.80) for his work even though the hearth for the fireplace was not installed or even fabricated We asked MrG*** when he would return to take measurements for the hearth MrG*** stated he would be here Saturday, May 30.Saturday, May 30: MrG*** missed his appointment with us and did not call We placed three more calls to let him know that we really needed the hearth granite measured, fabricated and installed due to the fact that other contractors could not complete their work until the granite was in Finally, MrG*** made a second appointment for 4:pm on Monday June 1.Sunday, May 31: I was looking at my new kitchen sink and granite after MrG*** of Stone Pro had installed a broken and cracked piece of granite on our kitchen island Much to my dismay, the new granite had a visible crack or break in it on the back of the sink area AND the under mount sink was not sized or fabricated correctly Additionally, the kitchen island corner radius did not match the other kitchen granite. I then decided to have two other stone professionals give me a second and third opinion on the island granite that MrG*** fabricated and installed The men came to my home and confirmed I had valid concerns and agreed it was very poor workmanship They did say that MrG*** might not have known about the break in the granite because a good fabricator could have repaired the break and crack much more professionally, maybe even fixed it so as not to be noticed.Monday June 1: MrG*** again missed his appointment with us without any notification. Tuesday June 2: MrG*** arrived to measure our hearth We asked him several questions about the size, depth, installation of the fireplace hearth He lost patience and was visibly upset by our questions He could not guarantee that there was enough granite (left over) to complete the fireplace job but told us not to "lose it": maybe there was, maybe there was not He would let us know. I then asked MrG*** to come and look at the island granite and pointed out to him the imperfections, BREAK and cracks, in the granite around the sink area and the substandard fabrication and installation of the sink MrG*** completely lost control, calling us "IMPOSSIBLE" and started to race towards the front door My husband tried to continue our discussion with MrG*** about the fireplace hearth as well as what he could do to rectify the island granite problems We had to run to follow MrG*** out the front door as he would not stop to talk to us Instead, he strode to his truck shouting profanities the entire time (four letter words I would not repeat!) I did state that we had paid him over $and he could at least treat us with courtesy and even better address our concerns as you would any good customer However, MrG*** shouted more profanities at me, slammed his truck door and left I then called the retailer we had purchased our granite from to let him know how dissatisfied we were with MrG*** and Stone Pro Granite Fabrication and Installation I informed our retailer about MrG***’s poor workmanship and his most unprofessional behavior Our retailer assured us he would call MrG*** himself and insist that MrG*** get back to us and provide the end product we expected Our retailer was wrong Instead MrG*** told us we purchased inferior granite We did not, it was 1st grade and of the highest quality MrG*** made a wonderful piece of granite look terrible.June 3, Wednesday: A service call was scheduled to correct our granite faults MrG*** did not make the appointment and gave us no notice. June 4, Thursday: A second service call that had been scheduled to fix the island granite was also cancelled because MrG*** had no time available since his truck was out on another job He was "snowed" and would have to call us later We informed MrG*** that we have plumbers already scheduled for Friday June 5. June 5, Friday: Two workmen from Stone Pro, not MrG***, came to fix our granite at about 8:am They were polite, professional and skilled and did the best they could However, they could not fix the break in the granite or the cracks around the sink Instead they filled them with glue (a white gummy material) to try and strengthen the area The granite break and cracks are still visible and bothersome to me MrG***’s workmen stated that the sink was not fabricated correctly because the template MrG*** had used was inaccurate MrG*** has asked us to provide him with our sink which we did He took it to his shop but apparently he did not use it to double check the template dimensions His workmen did grind and polish the sink sides to the best of their ability but the end result is certainly not the quality we expected and paid for. Additional, the corners of the island are not the same radius as the rest of the granite corners because MrG*** designed them that way In conclusion: MrG*** was responsible for the fabrication and installation of granite in our kitchen He did a substandard job We did exercise poor judgement by not pursuing research on his credentials or credibility Since that time we have learned he has a reputation for a very “hot” temper and is difficult to work with although he has skillful ability when applied He did not apply these skills with us. Regards,*** ***

To Whom it My Concern,My name is George G*** owner of Stone Pro located in Boise, ld.ID# ***It has been brought to my attention that a certain client has filed a complaint against my company and Iwish to address this issue. We completed a project of said client and there was some concerns
expressed about the radius cornersof the sink and to fill a chip at the seamI did send two of my employees to address these issues and toremount sink that is bolted to the granite and to re-apply silicon as a water barrier around the sink asper our policy with every jobAs to the quality of the granite I have no control of this and did notpurchase the materials the client did and so in doing this they assume all liability for the product theypurchasedAs far as workman ship this was processed on our CNC to their specifications at time oftemplate which is a standard operating procedureAnd now thinking about this Mr& Mrs*** hadbeen to our shop on several occasions to view their product and never was there an issue with usworking on their project or the quality Of their choice in material selectionMr*** even came in tohelp with the layout of the island using the templates we made with our plotter and these templateshad all the radiuses that were discussed at time of template and nothing was said about the radiuses. We still have the templates that were used on their project if need to be produced. As far as not acting professional I did lose my cool after being told I didn't know what I was talking aboutrepetitively as I was trying to explain a few things about the materials they pickedAt that point I left theresidence to let the situation cool down and to discuss at a later time, I believed that to be the correctway after the situation between usI did apologize for my actions and going forth from this point knowto step away from a confrontational customerAs far as Stone Pro, we have not had a complaint withRevdex.com, I have been in business since and take care of my customers.I have enclosed a copy of their signed contract and the actual programing of the island that Mr***approved.SincerelyGeorge G***Stone Pro 208-284-
