Review: We purchased carpet from this store 4 years ago. Due to many unforseen circumstances, we were unable to pick up the carpet and get it installed. We talked to the salesman and he assured us that it was not a problem and all we needed to do was contact them when we were ready to pick up the carpet. We recently went in to get our carpet, understanding that what we originally picked out probably wouldn't be available. We picked out anothr carpet, which was more expensive and were willing to pay the additional money. The store owner is now refusing to give us carpet and is refusing to refund our money. He says we took the carpet, which we did not. Even his store manager says he knows we never picked the carpet up.Desired Settlement: We no longer have any desire to deal with this store in receiving our carpet. We simply want the $700 back that we paid them for goods we have never received.

Response:
Mr. [redacted] did purchase some carpet back in Feb. of 2010. He originally came back in sometime in 2013 and said that he never received his carpet. I thought it was kind of strange that someone would wait 3 years to come back in and tell us they never got their product they paid $700.00 for. We do have a policy that all orders are to be picked up within 6 months from date of purchase. He placed his order and the carpet was cut, tagged, and placed on the rack waiting to be picked up. Mr. [redacted] did call and said he would be a little bit before he picks up his order. He was only talking a few weeks before he picks it up, not months. Mr. [redacted] came in earlier this year again and said that he didn't pick up his carpet yet. I told him that he already picked up his carpet back in 2010. He was telling us that it was never cut and it has to be still here. I was the one who cut his carpet back in 2010. He did have his own installer to put his carpet in. I did ask him if there was any possibility that his installer still had his carpet. He did state that the store manager says that he knows that he never picked up his carpet. I am the store manager and I never told him that. I told him that his order was cut, picked up and paid for back in 2010. After this order was picked up we closed the order and feel we do not assume any responsibility for his order.
