We understand that doing business in 2020 is extremely challenging. We were expecting difficulties in finding an upholstery shop that would be open and doing business at this time, we were not expecting the challenges that we faced. Let me start by saying when we first met George and dropped off our fabric and seats that we wanted redone we, were a little surprised that he was not only running a business, but it was his second job. That was great, we like a go getter! However, when he had us write his invoice/receipt for him it made us wonder what was going on. He assured us that our seats would be done in 2 weeks, and said, his whole business was based on “turnaround time”: that was on June 6th 2020. Just to be sure he understood what I wanted, I shared pictures of the present seats with him, He assured me, not a problem, I already received the pics your wife sent me of the seats. At the end of 2 weeks we reached out to George for an update on the seats, He said “It’s still in the works, I will call you this afternoon.” No call came. The next day we reached out again, and he told us that he was dealing with some family health issues and that would let us know. We told him we understood, just let us know what was going on. On June 29th we reached out again, He said “Covers are done, just finishing up the foam and installation. Should be done by Saturday (July 4th.)” We messaged him on Friday July 3rd, asking when the seats would be available for pickup and we received no response. We spoke on the phone on July 5 and he informed us that his family was having issues with a family member contracting the Corona Virus. We said “We are sorry to hear that, however you told us the seats would be ready for pick up, are they ready?” “ He told us we could pick them up that afternoon. The next day (July 6th, one month after dropping them off), we showed up to George’s shop to pick up the seats and as I got out of my truck, I saw that the saddle blanket fabric on the seats was installed incorrectly. The most unprofessional part of dealing with George is the photograph he sent to me of his step father who had passed away in the coffin. I felt that was the most disrespectful act on his part. I hope he gets help and maybe take a break from trying to conduct business.
