Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I am exactly where I was when this started John was not there when the “job scope” was discussed It was John that decided to build a wall where I was told a lip would be made [redacted] That being said Cment has committed to finding a solution so I am receptive Cment has to reply back with a solid, well explained plan on what they will do to repair my driveway and on what day they will show up to do it If they can do this to my satisfaction we can put an end this and forgo the next step Sincerely, [redacted]

This job scope was changed by the customer after we had begun doin it the proper wayOriginally he wanted the level raised up on the curb so his mother and daughter didn't drive over itThen he didn't want curbWe advised to instal curb properly to avoid any possible injury to others especially
in neighbouring yardSomeone could get crushed between car and houseWe then did as instructed by *** and raised up level of driveway to have smaller curb for himBy doin this we lost our proper slope on drivewayWe also advised him to instal fence on this curb to deter driving over the curbThis was never done. When talking to Dave recently we had asked "what does he want?" And this was mistaken as belligerent. We feel that a refund of 14000$ is unreasonable due to the scope being changed by the customer
** *** ** *** ***cment concrete services is well aware that Dave is not happy with the current situation of his driveway we poured a few years back. We feel that it is unreasonable to refund Dave for this entire jobHowever we do want this matter resolved. The reason for no refund is because this job scope was changed by Dave, from the design we had started originally if it was kept the proper way to complete by us this would have never happened. Of course we want to try and make Dave happy so we will entertain the idea of repairing certain sections of this driveway in the new season next year in JulyWe hope this will resolve the issue making both parties meet in the middle to resolve. ***’s complaint was rectified as quickly as we could get to herShe is happy now and this complaint can be erased. We apologized for taking as long as we did to fix but all is good now

I am rejecting this response because:When Jimmy came over for our first consultation, he *** ** *** *** * that he would have to build a “lip” between our propertiesSince our driveways were level at that point, I was not concerned and agreed with the “lip”*** *** ** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** ** *** *** *** When John came to do the work, he did not have any paperwork for the jobs that were going to get done *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** He asked me to bring out my paperwork so he could take a picture with his phone* ** *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** When work began, they built the wall between our properties and put down the road crush and rebar** *** *** * *** *** *** * *** ** * ** *** ** *** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** The day before the concrete arrived, I noticed a chalk line on the concrete wall *** *** ** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** ** *** This is when I *** *** *** emailed John my concernsThe next day he called me and we agreed that the wall would be no more than three inches in height* *** *** *** * *** *** ** ** *** *** *** I was expecting him to lower the wall and not raise the drivewayWhen I got home and saw the driveway finished, I was not happy, but once again I trusted that John was a professional and made the right choiceFive or so weeks later, in the middle of August, the cracks started to appear, and the driveway damaged the back corner of my house last winterThrough this whole process I had been in contact through email with John and he said he would do something about it. John did not advise me to install a fence on the curb, *** ** ***.
