I would have been better off representing myself during my divorce. The girl who was my lawyer was easily distracted by opposing counsel's transparent tactics and ended up costing me a small fortune before I drooped her and her firm. She was unprepared before judicial proceedings and hastily went over her "game plan" in the courthouse cafeteria. The cost of her services was changed often via phone cinversations and she had a very dismissive attitude towards the amount of money I was seeking in a settlement. She told me, "there's nothing to get." I wonder if she knows I DID get over $50,000 in the end? Would not recommend to anyone who is in a high-conflict divorce or who is seeking any monetary settlement.
