Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They wanted my daughter 'so insurance card to put a temporary plate on it before we ever saw a finance agreement We went to the finance office after about hours of sitting at the salesman desk which was by the door and it was very cold that day and the wind was blowing in at usI struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and this whole experience has made my symptoms worsenThey ran her credit like it was of no matter or principal to them, they just wanted to make deal happen I told the salesman that she was not signing if we didn't like the stipulations involvedThe proper way to do financing is too sit in the office with the finance person and work out payments, we never got that opportunity! He already had the paperwork ready for my daughter to sign, that was very unprofessional, that's not how it worksThese people are scam artists, they are like vultures and we were their prey! My daughter is a Volunteer Firefighter and deserves more respect than she receivedI will not accept their answer! The state needs to go and see how they conduct their finance office, very unpleasant people to deal with, it actually ruined my daughters 30th birthday weekend because of these peoplePete is a very rude and unpleasant man, he said I'm in a meeting I don't have time to talk to you! People have things happen in their lives which are beyond their control, such as a credit score, not everyone is a 850! But why should she pay 34,for a car that costv17,000? a month for 7th years! That's ridiculous! I'm a native of Rockaway N.Jour great grandfather was the mayor for over years, and he never treated people like this! Pete is not telling you the entire story! I also contacted their customer service guy and left a message and he never got back to meI will never recommend this dealership to anyone, I do have most of my family still living in RockawayNevertheless my daughter is a very great human being and for these people to rip her off is a shame! Response:Upon my research with the sales management team the only agreement was to pay the final payments not the overage on milesThere is paperwork supporting this as related to me from the sales management team on duty that day

Response:Dover Dodge Chrysler Jeep would like to respond to the complaint filed byt *** ***As one of the leading Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealerships in the state and, having been successfully conduction business for many years, we are not unfamiliar with the frustration Ms*** is feeling
after attempting to help purchase a vehicle for her daughterAs is evidenced from the complaint, the actual selling price of the vehicle is not the issueDover will always honor our stated pricingThe real issue in the complaint is the payment; “needless to say we didn't buy the car because the car was gonna be twice as much for it by the time we got done making the payments!” Ms*** also references multiple credit inquires and here in lies the problem and the issueAs anyone who has ever financed a vehicle knows, payment is directly tied to a client's credit score and historyAlso, dealerships will customarily submit a deal to multiple finance institutions in an effort to secure the lowest payment available to any clientUnfortunately, it was the credit score and history of the clients that caused the payment to be higher than the client was prepared forWhile we at Dover completely understand the client's frustration, we want to assure Ms*** and her daughter that we did everything in our power to secure them the lowest possible rate by approaching various lendersThis was done to benefit them, not the dealershipIt is unfortunate that the resulting payment was not what the client was prepared for however, this is the direct result of banks review of the submitted credit applicationsWe at Dover stand by our business policies and practicesWe remain available to assist the *** family in securing a vehicle and we regret that the client's present credit application was not able to secure a lower rate and therefore, a lower paymentPeter Milevski General Sales Manager
