I repair hot tubs and this consumer order a cover from me. The hot tub cover was completed on the 6th of December.  I called and told him it was ready.  Consumer ask me what is the balance,  I said $200 plus tax. He said I will only will give you $150.00 because he wanted to make sure...

that I come back in Spring to put the cover on his tub.  Due to weather, vacation, etc,  we postponed several dates to put the cover on.  The cover stayed until the 30th of January at the manufacturer.  The consumer is confused about the date he last spoke with me.  I spoke with him today and he said he thought I wasn't coming back.  I would never do this to my customer, you are only as good as your word.  We have set up an appointment for this Saturday for the consumer to receive the cover and pay the balance due.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11024084, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This owner DID NOT state the circumstances correctly and outright LIED in his response!  This is even more concerning that originally, and you should NOT allow him to business with your approval AT ALL.And further, in NO WAY did he state my cover needed to be replaced, nor did he give me a price.UNBELIEVABLE.........and outright disgusting.  I will do all I can to ensure he does not get ANY FURTHER BUSINESS from anyone that I have direct contact with.

Revdex.com spoke to [redacted] at business and the following was relayed: The job is done, the hot tub is running for 3 weeks. The customer's hot tub had frozen over the winter and we had multiple leaks to identify and repair. I had been in contact with the husband.

Consumer called stating that the complaint was resolved. the business came out and put cover on spa.

Steve worked on our hot tub last September but found another leak. We waited for Steve to come back and had to keep calling him. When I was finally able to talk to him he said it was too cold outside for him to properly fix the problem. Waited for warm weather to arrive and start process over again. Ran into Steve and we were" penciled in" for the following Monday. He never showed up! Left several messages for him to call us back...no response. Now his voice mail says it's full and not taking messages! We called someone at Wheatfield spas and are very pleased with their service! I don't recommend Steve's Spas to anyone!

Business advised Revdex.com that he is working with the consumer for his concerns.

DO NOT USE THIS PERSON!!!! I called him a few years back to give me an estimate for fixing my hot tub. He came out gave me an estimate and I stupidly gave him a 100 dollar deposit. Never heard from him again! I called and left messages and even went by his 78th street "business" address. It does not exist! He is a SHAM and a SHYSTER. Call Creekside Hot Tubs instead.
Do not bother with this jerk!

Tell us why here... I'm sorry this  customer is not happy !    My goal is to give poeple face to face customer service and let them feel that they want me not just someone working for a company .   When they she first called me and said she wanted her tub open to use in the...

winter she said she knew nothing about hot tubs   My advice was not to open it but to close it for the winter as repairs may be needed and the weather may not be in our favor , if I have to do a repair  silicone needs around 45 to 50 degrees to set , pic glue responds differently in colder temps etc.....  She was very admitt she wanted to try and use the tub for the winter.   So against my better judgment I told her I will do what I can.  From October 1 to just around December 15 I worked 7 days a week closing spa and other repairs as weather permits.    I try not to work on outside jobs on rainy days as I never really know what I'm getting into on the next job after so sometimes I have to change thing around     IE   Bad weather , indoor job on a good or bad day , customer not home ,parts not coming in on time.   I did tell this customer I would be there a few times and I had to change the days when I did get there the first time as we agreed it was a Sunday  and nobody was home ,  i have worked on this tub in the past so I did know it.    It was 1/2 full.   Not knowing what may or may not be wrong with the tub I filled it up to be able to turn it on    The spa did turn on but was leaking and would not heat   So here we are right where I didn't want to be with having multi problems with a tub on a cold but nice day.   Now the tub needs to be either drained and winterized for the winter and do the repairs I spring or repair     She wanted open   So the next thing I order parts on Monday.  I took five days for the hot tub manufacture to process my order it then took I think 9 days to get here from California    I was very happy about that either , I then came back to put heat pump in and do what I could with the leak that I saw , installed a pump to water flow to find we needed another part.  At this point I told customer I could install a temperary heater to keep tub from freezing if the weather gets bad she agreed    I asked here if here dogs would bother the power cord or if it would be a hindrance she said it should be ok .  I do hav many heater and have to do this may times a winter to defrost frozen tubs or prevent them from freezing so they can be closed when better suited .  Although I agree it's not ideal but it does work and I hav done this for 18 years without indecent.    Their spa cover was very heavy even for me and it did not fit properly any longer it was ripping at the fold  she knew they needed a new cover and I was to get a price for that.   After putting electric heater in place with power cord wrapped around cover lift pole so it won't move easily I was to return and close the spa after the holidays   I was supposed to be there that Monday and wasn't able to,    So at this point I had several trips and some parts and time invested and collected no money as I in good faith believe I was going to finish what I was doing if it was closing the tub or repairing. Again I'm sorry that she feels that I did her wrong but I did everything I could with the weather and time peramiters that I had.   I don't know why I should replace a cover she already knew was bad and asked me to replace anyway.  Steve

I LEFT A DETAILED RESPONSE ON HOW THE SERVICE TOOK PLACE. I PUT A HEATER IN THE HOT TUB AREA. I DO THIS OFTEN.  SHE CLAIMS THAT IT SCORCHED.  SHE ALREADY NEEDS A COVER.  DID MY HEATER DO THE DAMAGE, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT BUT THE CUSTOMER WILL NOT ALLOW ME.  I SENT HER A EMAIL REQUESTING TO SEE IT AND SHE SAID SHE WILL EMAIL ME PICTURE.  I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE HEATER BEFORE.  I DON'T KNOW WHY SHE IS SO MAD AT ME.  I DON'T THINK I'M BEING UNREASONABLE TO VIEW IT IN PERSON.  I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE A DECISION WITH VIEWING PICTURES, I WILL NEED TO VIEW IN PERSON.  CONSUMER HAS $190.00 PUMP, HEATER $20.00 AND EXTENSION CORD WHICH HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED.  IN ORDER FOR ME TO JUSTIFY THE DAMAGE I WOULD NEED TO VIEW IN PERSON.

Business called and left voicemail stating that they have returned the motor to the consumer.
