I have found Stevenson Honda of Goldsboro trying to push service tickets, even to the extent of damaging the vehicle.Three times I have found Stevenson Honda providing bad customer service. First, I was forced to make a certified mail demand on the before they would grant a refund to me provided by a service contract. Second, when I found them providing bad routine service to my car, I sent them a certified letter, but never received a response from them. Third, when I found that they had damaged my car trying to create work for their service department, I sent them a certified letter detailing the issue, but again never received a response from them. Due to their determination not to provide basic, decent customer service or to communicate with me, I have lost faith in them as a service provider. They have collected thousands of dollars in service contracts from me that I do not wish them to service in the future. I demand that money returned forthwith. If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will take the matter to [redacted]Desired SettlementI expect them to refund to me the original cost of 3 service contracts ~ (1) the 3 year routine service contract, (2)the powertrain service contract, and (3) the wraparound service contract.Business Response We are always concerned when a customer feels that he has received poor service from us. In looking at the customer's history, we see that he has been in for routine service as recommended by [redacted] for oil changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections. These visits occurred at 10,322 miles, 15,229 miles, 20,040 miles, and at 34,844 miles. Each of these visits had the oil changes paid by his service contract provider. Services to his power steering system and fuel system were suggested at appropriate intervals to keep his vehicle up to peak operating conditions as per our experience with these vehicles but customer declined these services.Consumer Response My problem with Stevenson Honda is that they did not respond in any way to my two last certified letters to them. That is poor customer service, and their lack of response and concern erodes my faith in their ability to provide decent customer service.

I was sold a vehicle that hadn't been inspected. My 30-day tags expired, I didn't receive my tags. I was issued a 2nd 30-day tag & it expires 5/16/14.I, [redacted], purchased a 2009 Dodge Journey from Stevenson Honda of Goldsboro on 03-12-14. [redacted] was our sales person. Deal # XXXXX. After purchasing the vehicle I seen that it already needed an oil change and found out the tail light was out. When I contacted the dealership about this I found out that they had not even done NC inspection on it before they sold it to me. I had to take it back to them and I'm assuming they did the inspection, they fixed the tail light and I believe they changed the oil. They did not reset the oil change needed notification, I had to read the manual and learned to reset it myself. After all of that, my 30-day tags expired on 04-12-14. I called the week before to see if my tags had came in and they had not. I called the day of, and they still had not. I called that Monday 04-14-14 and they still were not in. [redacted] told me that they should be in soon but I could come in and get a new 30-day tag until they came in. I was not able to make it up there, so I chose to wait and see of they would indeed come in. On wednesday 04-16-14 I called at 12:11pm and my tags were still not in. I called back at 12:41pm the same day and spoke with [redacted] and explained my problem, he said he would check on it and call me back personally. At 5:08pm after I got off work, and after not receiving a call back, I called and spoke with [redacted] again, and he acted as if he had forgot our conversation earlier, but then recalled and told me he was waiting on a call back from corporate and he would call me back in 10 minutes. He actually called back in 2 minutes and they were waiting for the papers to be processed through the bank and that I could come in and get a new 30-day marker to get me riding legally because my tags wouldn't be in for 10-15 days. I go up there and sign the receipt for my new 30-day tags. I call back Monday 05-12-14, asked to speak to [redacted] and the receptionist informed me that he was no longer with them. I ask to speak with a manager and she transfers me to [redacted] the GM. I tell him I am checking to see if my tags were in and he transfered me back to the receptionist. She informed me they were not so I ask to speak back to the manager. [redacted] gets on the phone and tells me the lady that handles the tags left at 4pm and I could just call back inthe morning. I tell him I actually have a problem and proceed to explain the situation with my tags. I also informed him that that day made 2 months since I purchased the vehicle, that I had already made my first payment and my 2nd 30-day tags were due to expire on this Friday 05-16-14. I ask if I could bring the vehicle back and turn it in and get back my $3,000 deposit he soumded as if he got upset and told me no it doesn't work that way. He told me what I could do was leave my name and number and he would get the lady that handles tags to call me back first thing in the morning. Igave him my information. I call back Tuesday 05-13-14 at 12:50pm, after not receiving a call all morning and spoke with a lady named [redacted] I asked to speak with the lady who was over the tags. She asked me what I needed, and told me her and the finance lady, [redacted] was over handled the tags. She told me [redacted] was not in yet. I asked about ny tags and she tells me they are not in but the box for today hadn't came yet and if I would leave her my name and number she would call me back to let me know if they had came or not, once the box came in. I left her my information and asked for the number to the lot in Jacksonville because I was informed that was where.their head people were. She gave me the number and told me the owner's name was [redacted]. I call there at 12:59pm to find out he was not in for the day. I ask who was next inline under him and the lady told me his name was [redacted], however he was not in for the day either. She offered for me to leave a message but I declined.Desired SettlementI have had issue after issue with this business. I would like to turn the vehicle back in to them and receive my money paid out back. My $3,000 deposit and if possible my $482.65 payment.Business Response The inspection and repair work to Ms. [redacted]'s vehicle has been completed and her permanent tag and registration secured. We apologize for the delay in completing this transaction. If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me,Kindest regards[redacted]

a copy of a check was returned from my bank stevenson honda hasn't reimbursed for fees that I was charged for not doing buisness with them.Back in july my sister was going to purchase a vehicle from stevenson honda. they were given a check by me to hold for the deposit, the deal feel thru and she didn't purchase a vehicle from them. the check was retuned to me. in August of 2014 Stevenson Honda ran a copy of the check that they made to my financal institution causing me to have a check to bounce knowing that we didn't purchase a vechicle from them. when I contacted them they aplogized and told me that they would make sure that it didn't happen again and that I needed to show proof that the check was ran thru to my bank. again on August 25th they tried to run this copy of this check thru to my bank and it was returned. I don't know why they are doing this when we didn't do any buisness transaction with them and the actual check was returned to me and they are using a copy that they made. I feel like someone is tring to committ something fradulaunt and trying to take this money from my account. We have talked to the finacing manager at Stevenson Honda the manager at Stevenson Honda and no one returns our calls, I have been charged twice by my bank for them trying to run this check and the funds haven't been in my account for this check and I feel as if they don't care about my account being put into the negative or overdraft fees and I need to know what can be done about this or how else I need to handle this. my bank to me to file a complaint with the Better Buisness Bureau and to contact an Attorney so that is what i'm doing.Desired SettlementMy amount that was charged by my financial institution for causing my overdraft fees and for my other bills that were caused to go into default because of this issue. $175.00 Business Response GM of Honda of Goldsboro, [redacted] called [redacted] 3/23/15.She said that we refunded the charges the bank charged her account. She did not have a name of who helped her.But she did tell [redacted] she was happy with the outcome.

The supervisor [redacted] and associate [redacted] had me sign a contract pay insurance and misled me into a bad deal.I was told that the contract was complete other than a copy of my id when I gave them that they needed insurance information. I have signed the contract paid the insurance and then without my permission they cancelled the contract. I took off work 3 days to complete this transaction. I lost the insurance payment and was disrespected multiple times by employees there. They never did anything they promised to do and I do not think that they knew anything they were doing. I lost about $700.00 all together in this deal with not even a apology. I was hung up on when I asked for the home office..when I finally got there number they said they would call back and never did.Desired SettlementI want the money I lost from insurance payment. I do not have the money or time now to get another vehicle and will most likely lose my job. Business Response Ms. [redacted] did attempt to purchase a vehicle from Stevenson Honda of Goldsboro. We obtained a loan approval for Mss. [redacted] however she was unable to provide satisfactory proof of income for the lending institution concerned. In addition Ms. [redacted] was unable to produce a drivers license as proof of identity. A faxed copy was later sent but was illegible. Unfortunately as a consequence we were unable to complete the transaction. If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerest regards

They sold me a car on 12-17-14 and almost 30 days later they called and stated I needed to bring back the car due to a paperwork issue.I went on 12-16-14 and looked at a [redacted] and I liked it. The salesman ([redacted]) told me that they had a program where I could have a Co-Signer and that person"s name would fall off in 6 to 9 months after a good payment history. I agreed to this. I then proceeded to turn in my [redacted] because Stevenson Honda advised me that it had been wrecked and I had too much negative equity for them to work with and if I did not have that car they could put me in a car with no problem. On 12-17-14 I returned with my Co-Signer and she had her check stubs which she provided to them that night. [redacted] and the financial staff completed the paperwork and gave me the keys to the [redacted]. On 01-12-15 almost a month later [redacted] calls and says I need to RETURN the car due to their being a problem with my Co-Signers Job.He stated she was not permanently employed, which is incorrect. He stated they needed the car immediately. This was not possible since I would be left without transportation. The next day I received another call from a man named "[redacted]" who told me the same thing and became agitated with me when I inquired as to why did they give me the keys ON 12-17-14 and then turn around the next month ON 12-12-15 and tell me something is wrong with the paperwork when this should have been settled BEFORE they gave me the keys and not almost 30 DAYS later! He got very curt with me in the conversation at that point and continued to state they needed the car back for an upcoming AUDIT on that week. I informed him that audit was not my problem. The next day another man called and he was more professional but stated the same thing that I needed to return the car due to not having a Co-Signer. He suggested I get another one and I did and Stevenson Honda called me back the next day and said they were unable to do anything!!!! Stevenson Honda never said they wanted my business and they never apologized for their being late and wrong with the processing of the paperwork. They did not care after almost 30 days of me having the car in my possession. I informed them that if they wanted the car they would have to come and get it due to the treatment I have received. I spoke to [redacted] who said they would get the car on 12-19-15 in the morning. I called all day and no one showed up or returned my calls. I received a call the next day from [redacted] who said they could have someone to my home on 12-20-15. The person who came, I had never seen him so I had him to sign a form stating he picked up the car. Also in the BEGINNING of the entire deal I made a referral for them to a friend who purchased a car from the dealership a few days later. Her name is [redacted]. I called The dealership and spoke to [redacted] again who said my check was being processed but again that in December 2014 and as of TODAY I have not received my check for making a referral for them! They are very shady and underhanded in their business practices and unapologetic for anything they do to the customer.Desired Settlement1. A written letter of apology for their shady business practices and OWN UP to the fact that they were less that professional in this business deal that they forgot about processing this paperwork until almost 30 days later.2. My $100.00 referral fee needs to be sent to me immediately.3.On their advice I turned in my previous car that I was "upside down in" for the car Stevenson Honda was providing so I feel they should pay off the car I have now since I could not have the Honda I really wanted($8000.00)...and now the car I turned upon their advice has dropped my credit score.Business Response When a customer comes to us with a poor credit rating, we work very hard with our lending institutions to structure a solution that will work for the customer. Our motivation is, of course, to sell a vehicle in a transaction that works for the customer, the lender, and the dealership.Only one lender would consider approving a loan for the customer and his cosigner, and that approval was conditioned on the customer successfully passing a qualifying interview with the lender. During that interview, the customer apparently told the interviewer that his cosigner was employed in a non permanent position through a temporary employment agency. While no one at the store was a party to that interview, the decision to fund or not fund the loan based on the results of the interview is at the sole discretion of the lender. Our Immediate Delivery Agreement, which was signed by the customer, states that the car must be returned if the lender decides not to fund the deal. There is no ambiguity whatsoever to this agreement.Furthermore, no employee at this store would advise a customer to turn in a car because of negative equity. That behavior would not be tolerated and would be grounds for immediate termination.I am truly sorry that the customer feels he was treated rudely and unprofessionally. I understand that under the circumstances, almost any communication from us might have been perceived negatively, but we did everything we could with every lender at our disposal to get the customer's deal approved. The customer's referral fee is in process. We typically do not pay referral fees until the referred deal is completed and fully funded. The customer will receive the referral check as soon as the request is processed through the normal channels in our accounting department.Again, we are very sorry for the confusion and the inconvenience. If there was any way for us to get the deal approved, we would have already done so.
