Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the issue has not been resolvedThe response from the dentist office is not true and did not mention their lack of billing the insurance within the same year that the workwas done on my teethI told them I didn't want my wisdom teeth removed, I can probably get my old dentist too write a letter saying I didn't need them removed as wellThey told me I should remove them and told me that it wouldn't cost me anythingThey did not say that it was an estimateA year later when I got the bill they said they had all new management and that this was an issue with the old office staff feeling people thisThen they told me that they would take care of this since it was their faultI do not believe this has been solvedI am note deployed to Puerto Rico and do not have cell service so I can't do anything about this Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because: the issue has not been resolved. The response from the dentist office is not true and did not mention their lack of billing the insurance within the same year that the workwas done on my teeth. I told them I didn't want my wisdom teeth removed, I can probably get my old dentist too write a letter saying I didn't need them removed as well. They told me I should remove them and told me that it wouldn't cost me anything. They did not say that it was an estimate. A year later when I got the bill they said they had all new management and that this was an issue with the old office staff feeling people this. Then they told me that they would take care of this since it was their fault. I do not believe this has been solved. I am note deployed to Puerto Rico and do not have cell service so I can't do anything about this.

We would like to respond to complaint [redacted] as follows,It is our policy and practice to inform patients of their dental needs. We do not pressure our patients to have work done. When we give an insurance estimate it is not a guarantee of payment and we inform the patient that it is only an...
estimate at the time of scheduling. [redacted] is correct that her claim was delayed. Once we had the information needed the claim was submitted and her insurance paid most of the bill. We were in the process of trying to work out financial arrangements when she was deployed. We have profound respect for her service to our country. The timing of this situation was definitely unfortunate. We are deeply disappointed about this complaint because we work really hard every day to avoid issues just like this.Thank youDawn T[redacted]
