The insurance company will review your driving record after you have accepted the quote and may adjust your policy based your driving record.
Each state requires auto insurance companies to file how they calculate customer rates, and insurers cannot deviate from these filed rates. Each state also has regulators who review that information and the rates companies charge.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I was provided a written quote of which I paid in full. To change the price afterwards as the business has admitted to in the prior email is unscrupulous. I could have accepted insurance from a different agency if the company had not misrepresented themselves. This is a classic bait and switch scheme and it is illegal.
Please look into this matter. I can provide any receipts or email trails as needed.
Regards,

Review: This complaint deals with vehicle insurance. I was provided with a formal written quote of $556.31 for a 6 month premium for my vehicle. I accepted this quote and provided the payment. In the middle of the duration of the premium period, this Agency decides to raise the price and sends me an additional bill. I believe this is bait and switch and it is an unlawful practice.Desired Settlement: Retract their request for additional money to honor the original quote and corrective actions taken to prevent this from happening again to me or to others.
