August 6, 2014Dear Revdex.com:Thank you for contacting regarding [redacted] ***'s complaintUnsortunately, his alleged facts have little in common with regard to the issue at handThe credit card in question is issued to the mother, [redacted] ***, who signed my standard agreement regarding credit card use and the sinancial policyIs you check my website at [redacted] , you will find the policy mentioned on the homepage, then again on the intake form (click on “click here to complete secure form for first visit.”) My policy regarding credit card use is stated in both of these areas of the website, as well as in the waiting room osmy oslice. While [redacted] is correct in that his daughter did contact me regarding the cancellation an hour or two before the appointment and I could not reschedule her, he sailed to mention that he followed up that call with several harassing phone calls threatening to libel me on social media websites is I did not deal with this problemI asked him what he wanted and he said that he was only willing to pay $or $for the cancellationI advised him that he was essentially commiting extortion and thal I would and will take legal action against him is he continuedI then told him I had to hang up and he called back three or more times within live minutes, leaving threatening messages to harm my practice is I did not comply. It should also be noted that there was a charge on the same credit card for a copay the week before that [redacted] did not complain aboutSo in essence, he did not like the see and I understand that; nobody does, but when a person books my time, that is my living and I provide very clear informed consent regarding my policy, save sor a lise threatening emergency or illnessOther than these events my no-show/late cancellation fees stand. Therefore, I have committed no unfair or unethical business practice; only one that [redacted] does not like because his daughter decided to prematurely drop out of services with meI always suggest to parents in this situation to make the children work off the fee to enhance the concept of responsibility.Instead, [redacted] is obviously sending his daughter the wrong messageThis is the most unfortunate part of this complaintThank you for your consideration.Sincerely,Steven BSinger
