I'm sorry your were unhappy with our training service. Before taking your dog *** in for training to correct aggression, codependency, defensiveness and lack of obedience I explained that owner participation was required. You signed documents acknowledging you understood you
would need to educate yourself by viewing and practicing the techniques demonstrated in the DVD I loaned you while your dog was being in kennel trained.Within a week of being handled correctly *** was becoming less defensive/aggressive, more obedient and well balanced. I sent you pictures of him sitting next to other dogs proving as much. Every photo I've attached show your dog at a healthy weight, clean and well groomed which is not the condition he was in when he arrived. His toenails were so long they were curling and deforming his feet, his coat was dry and flakey and he was slightly overweight.Every time you were here or we spoke on the phone you were having emotional outbursts and crying. I explained to you emotional instability was creating the problems in your dog because *** believed he needed to defend and protect you. Each time we spoke I told you of the importance of keeping your emotions in check while handling dogs. After having *** in training over a week you told me you were clinically diagnosed with seven different psychological illnesses which you were self medicating with marijuana. I suggested you visit your psychiatrist to get on medications to stabilize your emotional swings so you could handle your dog correctly and with confidence. When you told me of your fear of large dogs I invited you to observe a training class with well behaved large breed dogs. During the class you wanted to forfeit your dog to me because you didn't feel you were capable of fulfilling your commitment as agreed upon in the paperwork you signed. You also told me you hadn't yet viewed or practiced the DVD you were loaned. When you came to pick up *** and attend your first lesson at the completion of his training there wasn't here demanding the release of your dog. We scheduled and appointment and you came to the appointment. Law enforcement was never involved. It's your dog and you could pick him up any time as long as I was here. When you and your boyfriend arrived I demonstrated your dog for you. As promised, he performed all commands, was not aggressive, codependent or defensive. All five people present at your lesson were able to successfully handle your dog (including your boyfriend) except you because you didn't do your homework of practicing with the DVD or follow my recommendations. You were crying and asking again if I would adopt your dog.Animal Control does regular wellness checks. One was conducted while your dog was in training here. The Animal Control Officer found all the dogs to be healthy and housed properly. She even commented how nice it was here for the dogs. She was especially impressed that we have a green kennel and don't use any chemicals that could harm the dogs.My goal is to have each training job end in success. The owners need to be as educated as the dog by the end of the training in order to be successful. That's why I loan the DVD to clients and give two follow up lessons. I trained ***, did the two follow up lessons plus more. You did not fulfill your commitment
