Steve Madden

I bought a pair of *** BLACK LEATHER boots from Steve Madden off their corporate website. The boots lasted five moths, and the leather has now separated at from the heal. It's the stitching that has failed. I contacted the Steve Madden consumer support and spoke initially to Lily and then to Daisy who both informed me that five months of use is considered normal wear and tear and that they will not support any fix or replacement. I have never had a pair of shoes that have fallen apart so quickly. I believe that it is important for consumers to know that when they purchase a product from Steve Madden, their corporate policy is that the shoes do not need to last longer than 5 months. Not sure what their threshold is for a pair of boots, but it's less than 5 months.
