I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. First of all, the driveway is not 200 YARDS, it is 200 FEET, a very substantial difference - 1/3 the distance, to be exact. [redacted] Paxton and I agreed on the amount before he left my property. It cost me $380 MORE to get the end of the driveway fixed after he was fired, and I consider it extremely generous that I am not making him pay for the repairs as well. I have never in my life been considered a "difficult to please" customer. I knew that I was getting a good deal and so I gave him over 6 weeks to finish a project for which he quoted me 1.5 - 2 days, which I think is a considerable grace period. Paxton himself told me that he was intentionally dragging his feet to do other projects despite him telling me several times that when he was on my job, I would be the only job he was working on. I have this in writing as well. We decided (together, I might add) that $1500 would be returned to me the night that he "finished" the driveway. He left very late - well after dark - and so I did not see the completed end until the following morning. It was extremely hazardous and I was barely able to get my car out to go to work the next day. I then hired two other gentleman to repair the dangerous driveway that Saturday so that it would be usable. I am extremely disappointed that Paxton is failing to honor his promise to return half of my deposit. My word is my bond, and when I shake on something, I will follow through on it no matter what. I am willing to accept the predetermined amount of $1500 in payments if that would make the amount easier to pay. We discussed this via text message on July 30th and Paxton agreed to that as well. He said he would drop $200-$300 by my office by the 31st. No money has been received.
