Horrible experience I submitted a request for quote from (4) survey companies via email to survey my lot I was interested in building a garage on the back of my property and I wanted to know the costs involved I sent out emails to surveyors in the area to get a price comparison Randy said he would was interested in giving a quote and would stop by in the next week (March 10th) to look at my property With no other communication, I received a bill on April 3rd for $ I had no idea Randy was going to complete the survey After receiving the bill, I explained the situation and asked Randy and asked if we was willing to negotiate Randy said if I did not pay the bill, he was going to put a property lien on my property for $The request for quote email in pasted below with NO modificationsI'm working with a contractor to help me obtain a permit to replace (2) existing retaining walls and add (2) new, smaller retaining wallsCould you help me with:
1) Please verify you are a licensed surveyor in the state of Minnesota
2) Please provide me a budgetary quote for:
•Iron monuments placed at each corner of the lot•House corners and elevations
•Retaining wall corners and elevation
•PDF and CAD files
•All points requested to include Northing / Eeasting and elevation
